Looks like I was right. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Rest of the HVAC system looks good, other than the foam is all dry rotted.

Fuel tank pulled, inside checked for rust, cleaned and painted. We were surprised the inside was good other than varnish.

HVAC system refresh, nobody wants to get their Cruiser back after a v8 swap and have a weak HVAC system or worse the heater core staters leaking out of the dash. It’s all clean now so won’t stink too! 😂 The foam is real automotive HVAC foam not something from Home Depot. 😉🤙

That’s about it for mock up besides trans shifter/boot and p/s resi mount.

Trans hump mods to suit the NV4500.

Grafted the NV4500 shifter to the old H42 in order to get height and placement correct. Uses 60-series shifter boots as well.

Do you have to use those exhaust manifolds? I have them on my truck and fitment is a nightmare. The “swap manifolds” sold by summit/holley/hooker/etc are basically the same but fit 100% better.

Edit, looked back at 1st and you have the motor a little more centered in the engine bay then mine. That will make those LS3 manifolds work better

Why does everyone assume we don’t know what we are doing and that we are just winging it?

Chill out bro. Am I everyone? I simply offered a piece of advice considering I’ve been through this a few times.
I even went back and edited my comment immediately after posting.
The swap is looking really good as does all your work you post.

No you are certainly not everyone.

I have several build threads where people are like, “you doing it wrong”. Like really? That’s nice, how about a pm vs a you doing it wrong kind of a post.

Can’t say I dig that or that it motivates me to keep these threads updated.

It’s a crate EROD, it came with the manifolds. While there are a couple better fittings ones out there these will work fine.

Cheers

Not bad for winging it with no plan :flipoff2:

Seriously though, that is a really good way to solve the shifter/driveshaft/fork clearance issues. really nice job.
