The NV4500 was a good call in my opinion. I have driven Dodges and Chevies with the NV but this is the first LS I have driven with one.

When the build started I tried to talk the owner into an auto, 6L80 or similar. He wasn’t having it, it is a truck he said, it should have a manual he said. Ok I said and here we are.

Mucho power from this EROD but it is still very “truck like” with the NV.

Great looking truck Ian! I've only installed two manuals with swaps so far. An NV4500 then the Tremec 4050. The 6.0L with the manual is hands down my favorite combination. I agree with your customer

Ya I had a ramjet to Ranger OD to H42 in an 85 FJ60 10yrs ago. Probably my most favorite (personal) Cruiser to date. It was just really fun to drive and appropriate for a “truck”. Most swaps are/go auto as you say. Besides swapping an NV behind 5.7L vortec in a work truck which got named “bitchin’ crummy” this is our first v8 to manual trans in a Cruiser and I got to say, it’s bitchin’.

Yes 60's are heavy.,bulky amd restrictive also get horrible fuel economy but with engine swap it will help with everything you mentioned.

Didn't you have that landcruiser for sale a couple years back or did you buy it. Its ls swapped isn't it? A customer of mine was talking to me about buying it looks to be the same one.
