Linked is how I ran my 40 exhaust with a 350. Overall I'd say the challenges are the same. If anything a 55 will have more space.

Builds - My 40 Build... 20 years and Counting... Purists beware, this may hurt... :D

Wow - That is REALLY quiet. Dare I say quieter than most of the inline 6/2F trucks I've seen. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised - as you said, I've seen many old V8 pickups over the year that ran very quietly. PS was that a thumbs up from the road worker at the end of the video?

Walker makes a Y pipe to bring it over to the drivers side (Left side). It was a tight fit for mine because the battery is under the drivers seat, the compressor tanks are under the floor behind the drivers seat, rear air bags, and a Man-A-Free style rear fuel tank.

Walker crossover exhaust pipe for SBC? (Pictures Please)

Has anyone ever tried this Walker crossover pipe (PN# 40261)? It looks as if it would hug the left side frame rail better than the more popular Walker crossover pipe (PN# 42087). Trying to figure out which one would work better on my SBC conversion. Pictures of your crossover would be great...

I’ll vouch for the Walker y-pipe on an SBC in my 40. My drive shaft made slight contact, but it was livable. Wish they made one for the LS.

Same thing here for my 40. Ramshorns, heat riser spacer and walker Y pipe. I've had slight contact too. Best of all, no more header gaskets to deal with.
