great job, usually i am not a fan of the white spoked wheels but they look really good with that color/tire combination! Is that your signature under the drivers seat?

Scott owns the pig. I merely restored it.

Ahh so you wrote his name on it so I couldn't come claim it for my own. Very tricky.

That's an awesome restore man. Very good job.

................awsome......don't remember them being that nice when new!!..........congrats :beer:and btw, what size wheels?

Lou

Note to self: Next Pig resto Scorcher does, write "Nick & TJ" on the seat frame...

Happy to! Both names on the seat frame? When are you two getting married?

A little photo update.

Tuesday afternoon, re-christening the bruiser!

i was wincing at the wasted alcohol.....j/k
It looks better on dirt than on pavement. again, good job.

Am I the only one who was wincing when i saw the second trail pic? talk about risking body damage right when it was done.

It may not have been all that close but it still made me nervous.

I was totally whincing too! I was afraid to scroll down to the next pics. Ha, Ha.

Again, SUPER-RAD job on the 'resto'. Glad to see the owner plans on 'using' it. Puts a smile on my face. I think I'll jump in my cruiser now and drive to work...

Congrats on the resto! Very Very Nice! You should be really proud of the finished product. When I'm done with my LV, we'll go hit the trails! What trail were you on?

Hey Chief, awsome restoration job...........:cheers:got another question; how did you prep the 4WD emblem and what paint did you use; have seen a cpl. in the southeast and the paint on the emblems has peeled and they semed very pitted; am about ready to paint mine and am missing the emblems and I understand new ones are not available :frown:

Thank You! Luckily, the chrome on that one was not too bad. Some pitting, and the paint was chipped and peeling in places. I briefly tried to remove the paint, but feared damaging the chrome, so I left it. I went to a local hobby store, and bought a small bottle of the highest quality enamel they had. I took the emblem to get the best color match. (it was not exact, a little darker than stock) I used 0000 steel wool to shine up the chrome, and a #0 paint brush (also from hobby store) to paint the emblem. Slow work as it was too small to mask off. I put three coats on it, heavy on the chipped and peeling areas. The first one did not really cover well, but sealed the old paint. The second gave nice color, and the third was to make sure. If you want to spend the money, and have 12-16 weeks, I have a place that re-chromes small parts. PM me, and I can give you more info.
