you have done great work on that truck.. the little things make a huge difference. are you going to paint/touch up the shifters?

also, are the speakers mounted to the door or the panels? I dunno if the panels are cut around the speakers b/c in on shot they are mounted directly to the door. just wondering. keep up the good work.

What kind of glue are you using on that insulation on the floor or are you just loose laying it??

Yeah, I will touch up the shifters...I missed that somehow..

And the speakers are mounted inside the door panel to the doors, then the covers mounted over the door panel through to the door, to give it a solid and clean look. I installed them before the door panels to make sure they line up right.

Pics show it just loose. I used a little spray adhesive (3m #77) to hold it. The ceiling insulation used the same spray, but much more to hold it up.

how did you remove the old insulation from the roof?...thanks

Old fashioned way, pull, scrape, pull scrape, pressure wash, scrape, pull, swear at it, let the sandblaster finish it off...mostly swearing at it though....

Minor things left to do;

Front turn signals
Seat belts (have to wait for them to come back first)
Front Lic Plate
Install Front driveshaft
Fix washer bottle leak
Install Antenna (on its way, wont be here in time)
Find Cargo vents
Find new dipstick.
New tires and wheels
Paint shifters.

Over the winter, a front bumper and rear bumper (with swing out s full spare carrier) will be built. And I plan to do a full length roof basket, with provision for a couple off road lights up front.

you have done a wonderful job on that piggy....i am just getting started...i have been watching this thread...thanks for sharing

Tomorrow is D-day. The pig is ready. The owner and I took it down to Windsor to get new rims and tires. Kinda its maiden voyage/extended test run. Ran great, couple rattles exposed themselves. I will button up the rattles, fix the washer bottle leak, and call it done. Couple of parts are still out on order, slap them on when they arrive. Pics tomorrow, for the visually deprived. BTW, the new wheels set it OFF!

PICS!!!!

Am I allowed to ask how much it you charge to have you restore a vehicle?

Amazing work.

Thank you! I would be happy to answer these type of questions by PM or email. Please feel free to ask. I do not specifically specialize in 55s, or Toyota for that matter. Be happy to talk about any project. Ask me about your rig/ideas!
