Folks, I'm resurrecting this thread. Mark got the first prototype sill and he had a few issues which I want to make sure do not occur in the rest of these. As we all know, the LV was not mass produced so there may be some minor differences. One thing that Mark noted was that the spacing for the tailgate hinge did not match his tailgate. Paul had the tailgate from "treeroot" so he matched that (that also matched my tailgate but not Mark's apparently).

If you folks can measure what the centers are of your tailgate hinges and post up we can see if there is a difference here that needs to be corrected.

just read this whole thread and you dont share the price of the parts:frown:.Every time i look for orignal steel body parts the prices are always hidden or you need to PM some won. I thimk the ruels of this site it to disclose product and price:o

Should other folks who are, or are about to, restore an LV need sheet metal, Paul Pilgrim currently has my LV down at his shop in Costa Rica and will be able to replicate whatever sheet metal is needed easily at this point since there is a sample there.

If you need LV sheet metal, or an entire NEW LV body (maybe an LV on an '80 frame or whatever other ideas you may have), contact me and we can sort it out.

If you're selling a product in the classifieds you must state a price. Most products like this would get bumped to the vendor's section, but sub-forums get a little preferential treatment.

I wouldn't mind seeing a price either. After seeing the price on Pilgrim's whole 40 tubs I could see why it's being kept quiet. It might be distracting. Low production hand made parts for rare vehicles can command a shocking price.

To be honest, the other 45LV parts prices were not all that bad.

Prices are in the links above (the sills in post #57 of this thread, the rest in a different thread started by "treeroot")!! Of course there are no prices on the other bits as Paul has not made them. He will make them to order. Of course we can ask for an estimate on specific sections or parts which are not priced out in the above links.

Anyone know what happened to all the sills?? How many people got them? I have been waiting for a while and I passed my sill along to the mudder who bought my LV. Is this the norm on over seas group buys?? That at some point the sellers disappear and never respond?? Don't mean to resurrect an old thread, but i'm sure i'm not the only one who is out parts.

I don't believe we will ever see any more repro parts for these trucks, IMO. I was the recipient of the one and only sill and it was so far from original that I have to rebuild the entire piece myself. Still in the process actually, but it is done, just needs final welding. My advise would be to work with the original, whatever you have left and start fabricating. Its a lot of work, but your only option.

I sold my LV, but had promised a sill that would follow the truck.

If Charles paid in full then that might have been a big mistake. Don't these GBs work on 50% down, rest on completion ?

Anyone know the whereabouts of Paul?

Yes, Paul is MIA along with my LV

Sorry to hear that Charles.

When had you expected to go to Costa Rica to pick up your LV from Paul?

Is his shop still where it was, and could your truck be sitting there?

Could Paul be behind the sheet metal parts recently coming out of Colombia?

I think I know where the truck is (others have said they know but I have not seen it). I don't know if all the parts are still there (it was stripped out for body work) and I have not been able to get a hold of Paul for months. It is possible he could be in Colombia.
