I spent about $50 on my beige paint job. That should skew the average a bit.

The truck was originally dune beige. Somebody painted it "work truck white" but left the interior alone. I rattle-canned over the ugly white with Rustoleum 1917 Flat Khaki. The interior and exterior are a close match in hue but, of course, the exterior is flat. The top and bib are painted with rattle can Rustoleum appliance epoxy in biscuit color.

Damn, should've become a painter instead of went to college. On a more serious note, for the prices being quoted, it would pay for equipment, training and paint booth rental. I'd do it myself. Rubber should cost you under $1k if you avoid stealer prices.

Under $1k? I bought every piece available for my 76 from Beno. I remember the hardtop and windshield pieces being over $300 a piece. Then there are the 2 front door pieces, 2 ambi door pieces, 2 ambi door windows, 2 curved windows, 2 vent windows, 2 side panel windows, 2 front door windows, windshield, windshield cap, and bottom of hardtop sides.

I may be forgetting a couple...

Looks like you used 100% OEM rubber. Many new reproduction pieces have been introduced (and used by Mudders) since the time you purchased. Using the prices in my WS page as a guide:

Perimeter roof seal: $165
Front roof seal / windshield cap: $25
Amb door seals LH RH: $84
Amb door glass (both sides): 84
Corner curved glass (both sides): $40
Vent window (both sides): $90
Side panel windows (both sides): $54
Front door seal (both sides): $96
Hardtop and tub WS (both sides): $90
Upper side panel packing (both sides): $24
Windshield seal (OEM): $47
Grand total = $799

These have already been used on hundreds of trucks including many MUD members'. There is no difference from OEM, and in many cases the material is more modern / durable than what you'd find with OEM.
