And that is part of the side mirror mount from a mid 70's chevy truck. :D

The top piece of blue tape is 6' from the ground.

The bottom piece of tape is 4' from the ground.

The top air intake neck matches the contour of the winshield pretty good. I plan on turning it around in a rain storm or dust storm.

(If I had a cable operated snow blower discharge spout movement, it would be on there so I could adjust it from the drivers seat. :hillbilly: :hillbilly:)

Snorkel looks pretty good for just using some stuff lying around the garage, creative, and the price is right.

lol..

That's a fine snorkel Dan. Good use of recycled parts.

If it were wider at the top I would say yes.. but the existing design.. no..

On one hand, this truck is a thing of beauty.

On the other hand, you obviously ain't building it for it's looks:hillbilly:
I say keep it and save your noggin.

If there's any concern over the stuff you'll have in the back, I say run it. But at the same time, I think you could have one made that fits with the look of the truck better. All you see of the back of the cab is a big white headache rack that doesn't match the shape of the truck. Paint might help?

I reallized I needed something when I went and cut and loaded firewood. Two pieces of wood rolled into the cab on my return to the house. If the back window would have been in place, it would have been gone in a thousand pieces.

THe headache rack looks fine. Maybe mount a light or two on it facing back so you can see what you are doing back there at night.

Exactly. Sacrifice some aesthetics for practicality. Doesn't look bad on there anyway.
