he's like hoser but with a bottomless bank account.
Were there any "black pearl" boxes left?
If there was I would have owned them all...I'm still wondering how I am going to pay for those headers
With emblems in it of course
And found these..
Did you decide to keep the roof rack?
Shane, your answer is the Front Runner Wind Cheetah from Camping Lab.
rooftoptent accessories
It's 86" long (full roof rack).
Each slat in the roof rack accepts 8mm bolts. Unlimited mounting locations.
Camping Lab also sells a really nice RTT kit that they have a mounting kit that is plug-n-play with the Front Runner rack.
Contact Fernando at Camping Lab, he's very helpful and quick to respond.
Shane,
Are you predicting (or having) any problems with the HIDs in your foglight housings. I have always heard that Halogens run way hotter than HIDs, but people have talked abou the housing being too small etc. 100's use 9006 elements (ie full power headlight bulbs) for the fogs so the HIDs ought to be OK. What was your experience? Did you mount these ballasts behind the turn signals?
Personally, I'd get Front Runner stuff from Paul May at Equipt, he's a fellow 100 driver and has this set-up on his personal truck.
Any idea whether the FR rack replaces the factory rack? I can't find any installation instructions or close-up shots of one installed on a 100, but from what I've seen it seems like a pretty versatile rack.
