I was thinking about under coating or bed coat. Also spray foam in all the rear quarter valleys.

Are you going to add sound deadener material while you have everything out? FYI: It made a substantial difference in mine especially over the wheel wells.

DO the wheel wells, the rest isnt too necessary

What are you guys using for sound deadener material?

Are you going to get it dirty after you get all cleaned up?

I picked up 70sq ft to do most of the floor. To do the whole cargo area including the fender well areas the 20sqft pack should be good. The 13 isnt enough.

For the seat belts I just pull them from the reel and put them in the wash - works awesome. Make sure you don't let the reel go.

I'd love to detail clean my truck like that but with 3 young kids it's totally pointless.

AATLAS1X - you are a sick man! I thought I was anal! Keep up the great work! Nice to have you in the hundy section! I can't wait to see how the truck turns out...

see I just dont have the motivation to pull the WHOLE thing apart like that, because I know how nice it is to drive it! You're lucky you're doing this now otherwise once you got comfortable behind the wheel it'd never happen.

AATLAS1X you are taken carried away to a new level!

I cant tell you how bad my back is hurting right now, getting that carpet out was a flipping undertaking........That left foot rest gave me the worst trouble. Who knew it was just pressed on over a few studs.

The only reason I am going balls out is to have it done by Thanksgiving and take the :princess: on a road trip over that weekend. And I have it pretty much planned out with installing the carpet and all plastic, then seats and suspension.

It was real hard to fork over the $$$$ for carpet. I am going to over night the wheel and shifter and pray they are here by next week. Going to stay brown wheel and not sure about the perf yet.

Who has first hand knowledge on replacing speakers? Since I am removing all the panels to clean all the window tracks as they are SLOW! I might as well replace the speakers. What about the two 4" in the sub box and the tweeters in the upper doors.

the speakers on the doors are 5-1/4" or 6-1/4" I believe, I will verify this tomorrow. I'm running 3 way speakers in the doors. I would disconnect the factory subs because when you buy some high performance subs, the factory subs somewhat kill the sound when the volume is turned up.

plus that fender well makes a great place to stuff your ham radio and aux fuse block, not that I know anything about that.

Got your PM, that is as far as I am tearing into the dash. Sorry cant help on that.

No about the subs, Funny you mention that about unplugging them as they were when I removed them in fact they sounded like s*** when I hooked them up.

So are you saying to replace them or just not used them as I would like to have something back there.

Can we work something out on those seats?

I disconnected my factory subs as soon as I got my 6-1/4" speakers for all the doors. Since I got the 3 way speakers, they had a crisper bass than the factory subwoofer. It sounded better, and I eventually ended up getting 2 JL 12" subs. If you really wanted to put something in the place of the factory subs, I would suggest talking to some kind of stereo store and asking if a 6x9" sub would fit in the spot of the factory sub. I'm not sure about the wiring and if you'll need an aftermarket amp though. The best option would be to make a drawer system in the back with flush subwoofer and amplifier enclosures:cheers:

Insane work!

Where did you order the new steering wheel and what was the price on that?
