Are you going to add sound deadener material while you have everything out? FYI: It made a substantial difference in mine especially over the wheel wells.

AATLAS1X - you are a sick man! I thought I was anal! Keep up the great work! Nice to have you in the hundy section! I can't wait to see how the truck turns out...
AATLAS1X you are taken carried away to a new level!
see I just dont have the motivation to pull the WHOLE thing apart like that, because I know how nice it is to drive it! You're lucky you're doing this now otherwise once you got comfortable behind the wheel it'd never happen.
Who has first hand knowledge on replacing speakers? Since I am removing all the panels to clean all the window tracks as they are SLOW! I might as well replace the speakers. What about the two 4" in the sub box and the tweeters in the upper doors.
the speakers on the doors are 5-1/4" or 6-1/4" I believe, I will verify this tomorrow. I'm running 3 way speakers in the doors. I would disconnect the factory subs because when you buy some high performance subs, the factory subs somewhat kill the sound when the volume is turned up.

Got your PM, that is as far as I am tearing into the dash. Sorry cant help on that.
No about the subs, Funny you mention that about unplugging them as they were when I removed them in fact they sounded like **** when I hooked them up.
So are you saying to replace them or just not used them as I would like to have something back there.
