Oooooohhhhhh so shiny and smooth! Nice choice

It is. I'll be a bit hesitant to get the first scratch on it, but once that's over with, she'll be out wheeling.

Swung by the shop today to take a look, here's what I saw (more green):

With exception of the bed, roof and doors, all of the major body parts have been painted.

The dash is looking very green:

And instrument cluster wiring is in progress (they did not miss any details, I was impressed to see the Vortex on the dash interior behind the instrument cluster cutout):

Made contact and they referred me to another firm, in the process to see about the part I need, The company is called PACOL on line anyone know anything about these guys they are located in Flordia

Oscar and Alexandra run PACOL. They are good people.

They used to be in Atlanta area. :meh:

Ya TNX full for the referral I am working for a custom extention rear tub section and Alexandra has made many contacts with me.

This is an absolute dream car in the making. Congratulations.
Just can't believe that they couldn't turn it into a viable business. One would think there should be people lining up around the block to get this level of craftsmanship.
Definitely a loss for those who do.
Looking forward to see the final product rolling out of the door
BTW: great decision on the rims !!!

Those panels are divine.

It's got to be a tough business. I'm spending a good bit of cash on the build (more than the :princess: approved), and I doubt they are making much profit (if any) on the build. This level of craftsmanship takes a lot of man-hours, and the cost adds up pretty quick, especially dealing with the variables that come up with a 46 year old vehicle.

All in all, I am extremely happy with the build, and am very much looking forward to getting the finished product.

I'm glad you like the rims. I'm betting they'll look even nicer once the body is all bolted on. In hindsight, the backspacing isn't quite right for 60-series axles, but I don't think it will matter too much.

I love the fact that you can look at every panel and see smooth reflections. Awesome body work right there. If my body work is half that good I will be happy.

Those panels are divine.

They spent a LOT of time working on the body, and it definitely shows. It's nice seeing the pride in their work. Nothing goes to paint until it is right.

A few more pictures of the amazing body work while we're patiently waiting for the wiring to get complete...

Electrical work is progressing nicely. Pretty much all of the circuits are in and tested.

The dash is coming together:

The doors and top are currently getting body work in preparation for paint. The top is taking a lot of effort, as it was in pretty bad shape. Things are going to be coming together pretty quickly, and in the next week or so, most of the body should be on the chassis.

Kotekaman,

I'm following along with your build, turning out amasing, from what you started with.

Question on your wheels. Do you remember what back spacing you went with. I really like your choice of wheel and tire combo.

Thanks, Ron

The wheel backspacing is 3.68 inches, Summitt Racing part number TWG-71-6783.

Thank You!

Those wheels look great on there. Hope you don't mind, but I'm thinking of useing them on my 55. I was going to have stockton wheel make some up, but these look so much better and cheaper, too.

Go for it! I went through a lot of strife trying to find a setup to mount narrow tires on other than the stock wheels or Stockton steelies. I even tried sourcing wheels out of Australia, but the shipping and import pretty much made it way too expensive. I ended up doing a search on Summitt Racing, and this is what I came up with. The more people buy these wheels, the more likely they will continue to be made. There are plenty of wider rims available that you can mount wider tires to, but I am not aware of any other 16"x 7" alloys with the correct backspacing and bolt pattern.
