I haven’t seen much of this here (on mud) or in the states. Anyone here looked into it or done it? I accidentally stumbled across this video, and it’s caused me to lose sleep. 🤪 Which is extra dumb since I am nowhere near being able to afford to do something like this.

Alternative thread title: Help my wife’s company become a unicorn so I can do this.

The reason I’d have to turn it into an even bigger deal is because I’d only want to do it on the best 200 I could get my hands on. This would require me to get a very low mileage, no rust 2016+ that’s completely stock.

From there I’d want to ideally drop it off at a single shop, somewhere like slee for the facelift and every other mod to my liking.

Is this lots of dreaming? Yes. Is there a potential path within the next few years to make it a reality dream car? Also, yes.

If it takes 10 years, that’s fine. If there’s nothing like the 300 coming to the states, then this dream will continue to be worth it.

This may be the only way to get a 300-series with a tailgate and split hatch!

Black Bear tires and Red/Blue wig wags - makes it all worthwhile 🤪

This is the worst thing you could do to your 200.

The 200 is an amazing vehicle in its own right and so is each generation of LC.
If you transform it
It will never look good it'll always look wrong, the 300 is a boxier vehicle and the 200 is like a soap bar.

You already have a 300 in the States it's the 310 lexus.

Also please don't. It will just kill the value of your vehicle honestly and you will ruin a perfectly good rig.

I mean, I guess that’s one opinion. I don’t entirely disagree with it.

To me it's like those 80/100 series in Japan that swap out to a 60 series front end.
It never looks right.

I respect the effort/work that all these companies take when they make these products.
I am sure they are successful and they sell well, but yeah i guess that's my personal opinion. Doesn't make me right or wrong.
To each there own.
At the end of the day what I say won't matter, do whatever makes you happy.

Just trade in your LC for the new LC or GX550 if you want to go that route.

Otherwise, you will look like those who remake their Chrysler 300 into a Bentley. 😊 I don’t judge…but yeah no.

Not sure why anyone would do this. I've never really understood trying to make something look like something it isn't. The 200 is badass. Why pretend it's a 300? Might as well stick M badges all over it

Lol I thought the same thing about the Chrysler 300 "rolls royce" crowd

Pretty sure I've now seen the dumbest idea I'll come across the entire week, and it's only Monday.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of the 200. I guess I should really just break down what I really like about this idea. And I think it comes down to the headlights and taillights.

But then it makes me think, aftermarket lights can already be purchased. But I like the Toyota look, brand, and quality. However, unless I’m buying from a dealership, it’s not likely to be Toyota quality anyway. So just bag the whole thing.

I personally think that 2016+ LC face and butt look great. Maybe it is easier to mod your LC to 2016+??

For sure. That updated look is nice (nicer) and would be much easier. But I can be patient and happy with my 2013 until I can get into a 2016+. The thing with that update is that it’s a lot more about the interior for me. But I know that’s also maybe minimal as well.

I am happy and loving my current rig/build. Just have a medical condition that’s always looking and thinking about what’s next. Maybe there’s medication?

I’d need to be on the really good s*** to convince me to replace working original headlights with aftermarket anything.

That’s becoming my realization/conclusion. 😕

If I could bolt up original Toyota 300 Series lights, then I’d try, but I doubt it’s that simple.

I guess as of tonight I have a reason to… upgrade lights? 🤪😔

Some of this isn’t buffing out unfortunately.

I have personally seen many of these facelifted LC 200s in ME. The front looks good but the rear and rear quarter don't. If you are planning a change consider the GR kit IMO.

Good way to kill resale value. Enjoy the 200 for what it is. No point in spending money just to do that just to lose value.
