About 3 months. Pretty sure the gas is goodH
How long has it sat?
Direct question is how old is the gas in the tank... ??

That's what I was reading. Gotta do the carb spray action then go from there. Carb was rebuilt just a year ago, but who knows.Mine does the same hesitation. Carb issue for me. Probably the accelerator pump, vacuum leaks or timing.
Glad you fingered it out!Success! And failure? New fuel pump came yesterday and that was it! Engine running great. Did the 20 minute 2000 rpm break-in I read about.
Unfortunately, the triple groove pully that came with this engine is a little wobbly. So much so it's wobbling the water pump pully, which I can't imagine is good for the pump. The 2 groove on my old F was steady so I think Im gonna swap them. Never tried to take on of these off and I'm guessing it's gonna be a pita. Hate to have to drain and pull the radiator already but think it's the right move. I'll try to post a video to get other thoughts on how bad it is.
Also have a tiny leak at the back corner of the oil pan. Hoping it's a cork gasket and might seal up with some hot cold cycles? Maybe I need to re-torque the oil pan? Not sure what's common on a freshly rebuilt engine.
She runs though. Great feeling!
