Love this build! Have you had a chance to set the bed on the chassis yet? Any photos if so?

I assume it'll look something like this:

that is exactly the car that created the motivation for this build. Was probably 10 years ago I found those pics. However, the bed will look a little older than that since I will graft some 70 series venezula love onto the new bed.

Curious as to why the master series on the inside but not the underside? That Master Series seems like a great product, after seeing your use I read up on it on the website. Use under the floor seems like a good application for the product to seal everything up well. Thanks for sharing this product, I've save the website for future needs.

I have had very good luck with applying tinted monstaliner / raptor on top of Epoxy paint, so wanted to follow with what I know. For the inside, I wanted to do lots of sound deadening, so using the process.

Two great presents….

Awesome build, great read and very similar to mine in some aspects.

Question for you, as you are using a 2uz and I'm using a 1uz I think we should be close enough, taking the hump out the firewall, worth it? What I mean is did it free up that much room that it was worth all the effort? I'm about to start fixing cancer on my tub and if I'm going to do mods like that now is the time

great info here.....

Excited to start working on this project again…. Was blasting and powder coding so got The brake pedal and pedal bucket done

Some of you may recall I had a 75 series project truck. …. Venezuela Shade tree mechanic style…. Looked good from the outside but the bed was rotted and replaced with diamond pipe yet still overloaded enough to make it concave. So, I changed out the bed to a new take off 79 series bed. I kept the old bed because the sides looked like they’re in good condition, and thought it would be a better look on 45 series project. I bought another 79 series bed take off, and my plan is to pull the sides off of the 75 series and weld them onto the 79 series floor. So first step was to sandblast some and cut the old sides off

Looking at @47coeman build, the bedsides will look very similar... tailgate would be different and I need to decide if I want to extend the front bottom to match the tub, or add the steps there.

Dropped the cab and truck bed on today.. got a little chopping to do.. honestly with the big shock towers in the rear of the 80 Series I didn’t think it was going to lineup this good with the top of the tub.

Ya I wanted them to match also, however I will fab some sliders to take up the dif and have a plan with them already stay tuned for the upcoming

Since you are planning to replace the sides of the white bed with the blue sides it seems like fitting the bed will be a little easier. Still a lot of work but looks like it should turn out nicely.
