When you vary your speed like that, it makes your ride look much gay-er. I approve14 miles in the woods with 749 feet of climbing. Man, I was in some big hills. Felt more like double the amount.

Did a quick 17 mile ride along the beach. with my trek hybrid.

Heading to Aspen for an early Monday work start, took a detour due to snow and ended up on the Palisade rim, in the land of peaches. Trail was alright but now I want to run the Palisade plunge.
New wheel testing day. Went with 45mm front and rear. Spent a bunch time adjusting stuff during the ride.
Quick 30-miler yesterday (no picts) and cross training today, 1-1/2-hr gym and 7.5-mile, 2000-ft elevation hike. Photo is me on the "potato chip".
Trail heads were busy today! I went for some remote out of the way trails though. SO the only people I ran into were a couple dudes on dirt bikes speaking french.
Elevation is killer, need a few days to acclimate.
No photos. Back felt decent enough for a four mile round trip to the grocery store and back. The wife was on the Bianchi Pista she’s dailied for 16 years, I was on my 84 Trek ATB mule. My new handlebar bag held a gallon of ice cream, two boxes of cereal, and a few snacks. Love a good bag. Back felt more limber and less painful afterwards. Hopefully I can keep easing into things.

Quick early rise with the sun ride. Starting to really love the early am rides, just wish I had more time to hit the next loop before work and get the miles up.
The shoulder seasons are the best....

Cached water for 5 days on the Arizona Trail. Considering the terrain, it took us a whole day to cache. Had to get a hike in at the South Rim….
