first snow ride of the year. gravel bike put away fatty is out!

did it again today! snow coming tomorrow so it’ll be a few days before the roads are packed enough for me to go again. love the winter riding!!
cold here today but haven’t been outside for a few days to exercise so thought i tough it out for a short ride. actually wasn’t too bad other than frosting up!
Took my grinder up onto the Rubicon (only 25miles from my front door to the Tahoma staging area)...felt strange without a Cruiser 
Got a few miles in Saturday. Riding after yard work in GA heat makes for a tired ride. Second ride since the Lefty swap and I’m liking it a lot.
my son is turning 13 in a week so we did a father son trip through jasper and banff to do some riding. i really need to get an appropriate bike for the job but the fatty had to suffice. not often you see a fat bike on a bike park!
Did 20 miles across Angeles NF last Wednesday, including a stopover at the Mt Wilson observatory, 2500’ of elevation gain. Did a quick 22 in a thunderstorm around the Verdugos mountains yesterday, watching lightening bolts every 15 seconds. Have a 50 mile road ride on deck next week.
Spooner + Rose = 40miles and 4200' elevation gain.
Always feels strange to get to the staging area....without my Cruiser

Nice! Did you ride up? Shuttle up? Take the bus?
Dana Point, approximately 64 miles from where I started. From there, just a few miles to Capistrano, where I got a train ride back to the start.
