Cnorm do you remember the part number of the trans oil cooler you had to use to fit the grill?
did you reuse the power steering fluid cooler? I was thinking of upgrading mine and its a rusty mess.

Trans cooler was on amazon

I did have to bend up a piece of flat bard for the hood latch support because without it it looked like the hood would fly open driving down the highway.

I got rid of the power steering paper clip per Dustin's recommendation saying the Cummins pumps seem to run cool.

The Intercooler seems to hang pretty low. Do you have a picture with your bumper on?
Thanks
Here ya go.
Its low but not below the bumper

That looks sooooo good! Very jealous!
I'm finding a 6bt an gettin the kit!

I think I'm going this route too, been back and forth bethween this and an LQ9 gasser swap. I see a place called Busbee sells all kinds of diesel motors, anyone have any experience with them?

Well its been a while. Its been running great for me all winter. Just recently I have had a coolant leak so I finally dove into it today and found that the thermostat housing that Dustin made broke. And of coarse its Saturday so he isn't around to ship me a new one. Also sucks because this is my every day rig so I will be without wheels for a few days.

Yeah that housing is now a big concern if yours broke. Do you have a photo? Mine developed a crack.

That's the second one to break, does he warranty this stuff?
He replaced mine for free. Said it was the first one that he has seen fail. I wonder how many of us there are with the kit. I imagine there can't be more than a dozen or so?

That is a gnarly crack/break! Can u post another pic or 2...? Different angle maybe... Could it be a piece that is sensitive to being over tightend? Maybe we can figure out a torque spec... If that has anything to do with the failure... ??? Just throwing out a guess...

I just noticed the photo attached. Damn iPhone app. That is the exact location of my failure.

So this isn't something that is torqued down. The ring in the picture is bolted to the block and this twists in so that orientation can be adjusted per application. This part is used in more than just this kit because it works on all 4bt and 6bt applications. Not just our cruisers.
