Well I have had my 95 cruiser for over a year now and have done some minor upgrades to it but nothing much. Build some drawers for the back, Installed some custom made LED ligts inside and in the tail lights, and a new set of 33" Kenda Kevlars M/T's.

I have always had the dream of installing a Cummins 4bt in a small Toyota pickup or 4 runner but as I grew older and more family conscious I decided a Land Cruiser would be more practical for me and boy was I right! I love this rig and the ability's of it. Back in March I was browsing around craigslist and found a Cummins motor for sale a couple hours away, still in the truck that was wrecked but I could hear it run before he pulled it from the truck and it was cheap!!! I figured I would go grab the motor now so I would have it when the time came to do the conversion, So I hitched up the trailer and went and got it. towing it home I was pulling up lookout pass on the Idaho / Montana border and right as I reached the peak I lost power... temps were ok but no oil pressure
. pulled over and checked it all out, still had lots of oil so not sure what happened. started it back up and oil pressure came back up...... but there was a tick
. decided to limp it the rest of the 2 hr trip home and called a friend with a large goose neck trailer to be on stand by if he did not hear from me every cell service point on the way to come get me. So that meant the Cummins was gonna need to go in sooner than later.
I found that 69Rambler was in the process of developing a kit to put the 6BT in the Cruiser with the stock tranny setup and so I called him up and found that he still didn't quite have the kit ready yet... so the poor Cruiser has sat for the last few months. Well the kit is finally ready! I have not received all of the kit yet but I got one box of parts and his instructions. So this weekend I started tear down. I didn't track that at all because its just pulling the motor and tranny out. I sent him the Torq converter to be reconfigured to work in the diesel rpm range and the wiring harness to for him to redo with the stand alone tranny controler. While I am waiting for the rest of the parts I gave the engin bay a bath and I plan on installing An OME 2.5" heavy lift kit, I went with the Heavy all around because eventually I will have this thing armored up with winches front and back.
I took a couple pics with it gutted and I got a bit anxious and just set the Cummins in there with the hoist just to see how it looks. But here is where I am at right now. More to come......
