Started my snorkel install. Need to bring my plasma cutter home and cut the air hole and install some nut inserts to hold the upper bracket to the a pillar.

Also need to figure out the attachment to the air box. This truck previously had a snorkel as I found a welded in circular patch on the inside of the fender. The air box has a straight pipe heading right for the fender so it should be easy to plumb.

And I did some more modifications to my rack to hold both my max tracks and cut the back section off to hold the tent. I'll add the light brackets tomorrow and some expanded steel mesh to the front part too.

It's a one piece knock off. Haha. I still like the way it looks :)
With my advanced age and poor eyesight, I hadn't noticed the absence of the joint. :)

Is it ever awesome! That Troopie makes mine look like a child's toy...and that roof rack, sheesh...

Just a little update, got around to bringing the truck up to my DMV for a VIN inspection yesterday. They were less than thrilled about me driving it without fenders or a bumper. Lol. But the paperwork all went through properly and I was issued a Florida title :) finally legal.

Also did transmission and transfer case fluids, used redline mt-90. Really helped with shifting. The old plugs were STUCK. I ended up rounding the heads off of both the full plugs. Had to weld a piece of steel to them to bust them loose.

And last but not least I welded in some repair patches under the fenders so I can get around to reinstalling the lower fenders this weekend I hope.

Its amazing what you guys can do over there, We would be pulled over, fined and warned not to drive it again until the defects were fixed and signed off against.
Nice work on the rust patch.

Made a little progress on the troopy, but the big news lately is I sold my 1st gen 4Runner. Really cool guy flew down from Iowa and drove it home. Made it through a blizzard :) I really loved that truck, but now I should have the funds to finish the troopy :)

What do you guys do with license plates? The holes don't line up with American stuff :( I don't think it looks terrible, but I don't love it either...

In Georgia (the State that Onur hates), we just use bailing wire to attach the license plates. :)
