Well, took a little break this weekend and flew out to Cruiserfest in Salt Lake City Utah.
Grand opening was awesome. The new location is great! Lots of new vehicles added to the collection.
Met some new people ! All in all it was a great time.

Wow, that is some cruiser dedication there. I will stop by one day, when it is convenient and I'm passing by. Never thought to actually plan a vacation around a visit! Thanks for sharing.

Bought some parts from a guy in Salt Lake City while I was at cruiserfest.
Flew home and started working on the 40.
Installed the new 4spd bell housing and flywheel.

Removed the drivers side fender to install the new fender I bought.
While removing I saw all the gunk and dirt and I figured might as well clean it since the fender is out. Boy scrapping and scrubbing produced mounds of mud and oil. Also sprayed some rust convertor to the section of frame I cleaned up.
Here are few pics. There is more to do but all in all pretty satisfying seen the progress.
Have also been pressure washing the inside of the front frame rails (no pics) and have done a good job of removing all the crud.

Although, I am not reusing the original Warn Hubs since I have a 60 series front end for my disc brake conversion. I figured I clean them up so I don’t have to get so dirty and also show how dirty and cruddy this rig is.

Going to try and paint match the new fender?

That was an option. But maybe to new after it is painted.
Or maybe try and trade someone who has a white one.

Just get out and use it for a few months and it will match!
I am going to try and paint match the repairs i make to mine, same Cygnus white.

Yeah, took it over to the body shop today!
And he said he will paint it. They are quite busy now so I will bring it in on the first week of October.

your slave cylinder pushrod should be a straight shot to the throw out arm. Is it because the input shaft doesn’t have everything in line? If you’re gonna put this (31126-60021) boot on the arm, now is the time.

Yes I did notice it is not a straight shot. Will work on that. I have the boot for that arm here.
Will install it next.
Thanks for that.

Edit: I checked the clutch fork and I had the wrong one in.
Got the correct one and it lines up now.

Edit the pics to show the correct clutch fork and and installed the boot cover.
Now the slave cylinder rod lines up!
Thanks for pointing that out @fjc-man.

Which version fork was wrong and which was right?
