@NLXTACY!! You WILL have another buyer if I can get some questions answered. I searched for awhile but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.
First off I found what I think is a York 210 in a local junk yard off a 82 Ford Econoline and bought it. I found a couple sites that state that these are one of the vehicles that the Yorks are installed. Unfortunately it doesn't have a plate on it but looks like it may be a rebuilt one because on the back of it reads May '97. It is identical to every pic I've seen of these things. Pic at top for verification.
I have 2 questions.
1. When I pulled it out I accidentally removed one of the side "oil" bolts and when it tipped over bright green fluid poured out of it like from leak detection products. I thought the oil section was independent of the freon section?
2. If I haven't bought the wrong one or a "bad" one what's the best way to clean one of the suckers out and is regular motor oil what everyone is using?
3. Is there a way to bench test these?
As long as I have the right one I'm ready to pull the trigger on a kit but want a little reassurance first that I'm headed down the right path.
Many, many thanks for any and all help in advance.
