Yes, one came in last night. Currently at 11. So I think I am going to keep it at 20 units. This way I can keep a few on the shelf and then PRICE GOUGE those units :flipoff2:

does anyone know the yorks good??

I found 2 Motocraft D4TA-2875-C2A and they look like 210's but I dont know for sure..... and the kilby site isnt all that helpful atm when you can physically tear the unit apart when your 500 miles from them lol

That's not a York part number. York numbers are based on the system shown in this document:

Just a clarification:

There are two different York 209s:

The standard size 209 that has the same mounting holes and case size as the 210.

The 209 SC "super compact" which is about 1 - 1.5 inches smaller in all three dimensions. It has three mounting holes instead of 4, so you may have to drill some new holes to mount the SC compressor on the bracket. You may also need a smaller belt. The SC is clearly smaller, so you can easily tell them apart.

Both have about 90% of the displacement of the 210.

A picture comparing the 210 and 209 SC can be found here:
York compressor info - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

Also note: Yorks are rated in cubic inches of displacement, not CFM. 210 is 10 cubic inches the 209 is 9. The CFM depends on the displacement X RPM. The RPM limit is 6K. 1 cubic ft is 1728 cubic inches, so you need to spin a 210 at 1728 RPM to get 10 CFM.

And there are ford motocraft branded yorks...... Based what i can see they are just a re tagged york

But i cant look at the 2 of them until april 27th when i get home

Buy these up guys. I love mine. I started with the mv-50 which worked but was slow especially in the mountains. Then on to the puma, its a great unit and works relativly quick. I didnt mount it so it requires setup and takes up space.

I got lucky and bought a bracket setup a few years ago for the york. I had such a dificult time finding a used pump so i bought a reman on ebay and a clutch at the local parts store.

This thing kicks ass. I lock the throttle at 1800 and a 35" tire goes from 12 to 35 psi in under 45 seconds. I never did get to a tank but i have been able to run a 1/2 impact on a job taking out large lag bolts. It got hot , thats for sure. The hose was very limp. ( that doesnt sound right).

I have the intake plumbed into the factory air cleaner. The port was once used for the PAIR ( i think thats it) system that i had to remove on my 94. The problem is smog check in my area. I almost failed the visual. My plan was to change it back for the check but i forgot. This system is only used at startup so i dont feel bad. I also had to get the 95 and later heater hardlines that run along the valve cover.

I really dont want to discourage anyone from doing this. Its one of my top mods. As far as i understand, the changes are only for the 93 94 years and they are easy. I should go back through my manual and have a look. Im sure there are tons of pics of installs around here but i could take some as well if needed.

The more i think about it, none of you should get these. I want to be the savior on the trail. The guy who is full of hot air.........

Hmmm.....that doesnt sound right either....oh well. Now i feel a bit deflated.

There's a guy on EBay selling rebuilt 210s with all the fittings, manifold, check valve, dipstick, fill tube, etc for $285. Kind of expensive, but maybe not. I know I won't be able to find one locally, and rebuilt ones go for $150-200 on ebay. So having all the fittings taken care of plus dipstick/ fill tube might make it worth it. Decisions, decisions....

To be clear.. the PAIR system is only used at startup?

Beyond the visual did you have a sniffer test? How did it do with the PAIR system removed?

Ive been thinking, he PAIR may also com on during deceleration as well. I remember a cool throaty sound through my snorkel but i dont think it happened much after the initial warm up. Its been a long time. only issue i had was the visual when compaired to the underhood sticker. The sniffer was great.

Honestly that's the way to go because it's all in one shot. I'll be offering the same stuff coming up but of course it'll be with my own spin on it ;)

Last time I looked, the PIck n Pull was full of them for about $20.

Just not my local pick-n-pull. The owner just torched it for the insurance money.

Well maybe I'll wait then. Damn you . You going to try to do the fittings, hoses, and filter, etc?

Lucky! We don't have many, if any, pick/pull yards anymore. Also, anything older than 20 years is either rusted to dust or crushed more than likely. I'll still probably try to find one before I buy online.

Ok @NLXTACY!! You WILL have another buyer if I can get some questions answered. I searched for awhile but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.

First off I found what I think is a York 210 in a local junk yard off a 82 Ford Econoline and bought it. I found a couple sites that state that these are one of the vehicles that the Yorks are installed. Unfortunately it doesn't have a plate on it but looks like it may be a rebuilt one because on the back of it reads May '97. It is identical to every pic I've seen of these things. Pic at top for verification.

I have 2 questions.

1. When I pulled it out I accidentally removed one of the side "oil" bolts and when it tipped over bright green fluid poured out of it like from leak detection products. I thought the oil section was independent of the freon section?

2. If I haven't bought the wrong one or a "bad" one what's the best way to clean one of the suckers out and is regular motor oil what everyone is using?

3. Is there a way to bench test these?

As long as I have the right one I'm ready to pull the trigger on a kit but want a little reassurance first that I'm headed down the right path.

Many, many thanks for any and all help in advance.
