Well it's time for all new brakes all around and since I've never did brakes on a Cruiser or other heavyish truck before I thought I could use some direction. The Brembo brand I'm already a fan of so this is really about Centric vs Powerstop, or whatever plain or maybe slotted rotors are popular. Mechanic wanted to go with Centric (with price markup) and then I saw a full kit of Powerstop rotors and pads F&R for a decent price. A while back I saw a lot of folks going Powerstop on here so I could use some advice. Thanks.

I'm using power stop slotted and there ceramic pads. Don't know if they will wear as even as the OEM taken off but been very happy with then the last 2k so far.

Don't know anything about the other to make a comment.

Power Stop FTW. Amazon has them cheap!

Coupon? What coupon?

Good price and a lifetime warranty against warping and cracking and their warranty is not contrived, I've gotten a set replaced with no questions asked. Used them on all my cars and trucks and only had an issue once (they covered it). No other manufacturer can beat that.

I have Power Stop (aka Centric aka StopTech) front rotors and I wouldn't recommend them to someone I didn't like.
The fastest warping rotors I have ever used.
They are under a set of PBR Australia semi-metallic pads and see the same use as the napa blanks that they replaced which were still straight when I removed then.

I have a pair of brand new rear rotors on the shelf that I won't even waste my time installing.

I would go DBA, EBC, Brembo in that order.

What about the OEM option?

Exactly.

Lets spell it out

Life Time Warran tEEE

No one can beat http://brakeperformance.com/ if you are staying with OEM size. If you are going bigger than sure Brembo, Powerslot are great...

But seriously LIFETIME WARRANTY AGAINST WARPING AND CRACKING!

OEM, nor brembo can match that. Plus it cost as much as OEM so why waste money on anything else?

Rotors very, very rarely warp. That's a too soft a compound pad issue. Also, lug nuts should be torqued to spec EVERY time or that'll F up rotors.

I know the real story, its mainly due to out of true rotors than anything else, which provides the same sensation as a wrapped rotor. Regardless when I sent my "warped" whether or not i did or didn't torque my wheels right they replaced my set - no questions asked -

Stoptech rotors and rbc yellowstuff pads have performed beyond my expectations. Good luck with your decision, many good options.

The powerstop kit was ludicrously cheap for a semi-reputable brand. Barely any more than off-the-shelf NAPA. I haven't had them on the truck too long, but they do just fine out of the box.

My experience with EBC pads (albeit in a HPDE environment) was downright terrifying.

Just as another option I alternate between a set of slotted and drilled DBA rotors and a set of slotted only DBA rotors (I prefer the slotted only ones because drilled basically gets full of dirt). After some experimentation specifically with EBC and PBR pads, I am now only using OEM 100 series pads, in my humbly offered opinion they are the best all around pad for what I want. Link to the rotors: http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_drivetrain_brakes.htm hope that helps.
