Curious to see emissions success on trucks with 35s. I know my pig probably can't do it. Those rollers are a biiiitch in Colorado.
There are several guys with turbo in Colorado. If it passes CARB, it will pass CO emissions. (assuming the rest of your truck is up to snuff)
In Colorado it is dependent on the county in which the vehicle is registered. Basically, front range = full emissions check, everywhere else = no emissions. Older vehicles still need inspection and sniff, but the requirements aren't as tight and only need to be inspected every 4 years instead of every 2.
But there has been a lot of talk about expanding the program statewide, and given the recent political shift in the state, I would not be surprised to see some sort of push towards that in the not-too-distant future.

EPA governs emissions in all 50 states. CARB was establish in California before then EPA was formed, and has tougher emission standards than EPA. Thus, if you pass CARB testing, your are granted a “CARB EO” that legally protects you from prosecution in ALL 50 states. In other word, you’re “50 state legal.”

Lol, yeah. With 112, I think people saw the $$$ impact and voted on that more than hippy/safety/environmental concerns (plus John Elway told us to vote no 
). As for emissions, I have personally registered trucks in Park and Grand counties after a failing the test in my local jurisdiction, but the air quality here in the Denver metro is downright disgusting some days. This time around, I actually fixed up my truck to pass. I personally think they should hook it up to the sniffer and if it passes that, then who cares what equipment is on or off the truck. I know I'm probably in the minority in that sentiment for our chosen hobby

They aren't even really companies, just people that are using a j-pipe and the same size turbo I spec'd and trying to get people to give them money for a pre-buy before they build anything. Just lame.

I’m not going to go that far. They made some changes to make it their own. The turbo 80 is not an original idea. But capitalizing off what I’m trying to accomplish is a little messed up.

Yeah I guess I would have been a lot less forthright with my answers if I knew he was going to turn around and try to sell stuff. But I am still a little concerned he doesn't fully understand the OBDII system. So buyer beware.

You're right that turbo 80 is not an original idea, but if they are planning a similar system based off of all your R&D legwork, you have a right to be mad.
