Reviewed some threads and wondering what is the best product as of today? Do most go with dynastar or energy suspension? Is there anything else out there now that folks have had good results with?

I'm ready to start piecing together the tub prior to going for stripping and paint. However I want to source my body mounts before doing so.
Thanks

Went with daystar because of availability, was not happy with over molded pads and terrible hardware. I would try energy next time.

I just got the Daystar kit in the mail yesterday for my '67. Will be working on the install over the next few days. They seem to be quality mounts but we will see how they fit compared to my old factory mounts.

FWIW - I used the Energy Suspension on mine, and would use it again.

Did mine two weeks ago with energy suspension, the whole project went well. don't forget to soak your bolts down with some pb blaster.

What does a kit like this set you back? OF course then what does money matter when your building a cruiser!

From your signature it looks like you have 79+ 40s. They take a different kit. I am pretty sure energy suspension doesn't make a 79+ kit.

I should have mentioned that Daystar does. In black and red. Ccot sells it among others

Hopefully i will have time to call George tomorrow and see.
Thanks

Daystar kit is installed. Other than it being time consuming, I'm happy with the kit. They are one piece mounts just like the OEM ones. Lift up the body a little, slide the old out, slide the new in, put in a new bolt, and move to the next. My original ones were due to be changed.

Not sure why you replaced yours! :)

I'm waiting for my kit to arrive in the Mail. Energy Suspension does not have their own for 79 and newer. Instead Daystar is the kit for newer models.

For later 40s that have round body mounts, is there any crossover with OEM FJ62 body mounts, either rubber or hardware? I need to replace the ones on my 40 and happen to have a complete OEM body mount kit that I bought for my 62 and never used.
