After getting the arb and installing it, would you still opt to go the same route?

I installed an Iron Man 4x4 bumper up front (similar to the ARB) and I would do it again. The only thing to consider in my case is that once you commit, that is it, no going back to stock. You have to remove sheet metal and supports to get the Iron Man to fit properly (not sure on the ARB side). Again, I mounted mine MUCH closer than the spec and cut sheet metal to clearance. Mine next to stock to get an idea of how much I tucked mine in:

I will post pics and some write up when I get around to taking pics, my wife drives it everyday and I don't get home till late so I never get to even look at it honestly. Now that it is done I would definitely do it again and might still trim the back side of min out like Dan did. But like I said I have not even seen the car since the day I finished putting it on :(

Well I got married last week and have not been able to work on Black Betty as much as I would like. She did get her first road trip to the beach and performed flawlessly though! Long trips in this bad boy are not a problem. I did however get in my IPF lights that ARB gave to me for my bumper coming in damaged (along with some funds to help pay to fix) I have not wired anything up yet but plan on doing that Saturday morning along with getting some pics from the ARB install. Anywho, here is a quick pic of everything just because :).

Well now I am excited :bounce::cool::bounce2::cool::bounce::bounce2: I just ordered some radflo coilovers from Kevin at SSS!!! I went ahead and just got the 2.0 which he used to run that @THeGeNTLeMaN does now with a 600lb spring! Installing next week before we go to VooDoo hopefully! I just want to level it back out to stock for now until I am ready for tires then I will get the rears!

Let me know when they come in ... Ill be there ready to give you a hand ...
We should know our way around the suspension on these things by now lol ...

Well I got my shocks from Kevin yesterday and got them bolted up last night. Took about 45 min total with installing a new OEM CV axle. Plus about an hour this morning to align it. I left it at the 2.5" of lift and did not touch the rear at all. It probably sits about a quarter inch higher in the front than the rear. The 275/70R17 BFG k02 only rub on my fender liner that I have not trimmed yet only put a little heat and shoved it up in the ARB. No rubbing on control arm or body mount. So far everything is good and she rides so much better now. Pics to come once I get my phone working with the site.

looks good

Looks great!

You happy with the 600 lb coils? I always thought it made it just a touch firmer but still had the nice Lexus ride.

LOVE IT ...looks really good Brad ... looks like CIA , undercover, swat .... if i buy you a Bullet proof vest and aviators will you wear it ?
haha you know I would

Like Catlin would say, it's like riding in a cloud of muscle relaxers!!! Even better the wife likes the ride better!!

Well I had to lift the front of our GX about 1/4" to get it from rubbing on the fender liner. Also lifted the rear by pulling the fuse and like this stance a lot. While I was there I pulled the running boards off to see what it looks like, I like it better but it will definitely need sliders.

Since we have been out of town a lot and are going to hidden falls this weekend I have been having to put the spare on the roof. The first time was fine but I broke the roof rack and now the noise is unbearable. The rack is cracked but it still seems stable enough since it doesn't budge when I push on it. I got the okay from the wife to get an SSS bumper but that won't help me now since we are leaving Wednesday. So I can either put it in the car and pack half the s*** we were planning or strap it to the roof and wear earplugs :hmm: need a plan before Wednesday though lol.

Wait, why are you going to hidden falls without the rest of us?
