Well after a long weekend of messing with getting the ARB fitted it is finally on! Cutting the fender flares is not the only thing you have to do to make these fit. You also have to slot the holes in the bumper and the mounting bracket to get an optimal fit so that you can close the hood. But when you do that the stone plate that mounts to your skid won't fit so I'll have to figure something out with that. To be honest I'm not totally happy with how it came out but I still have a lot of little details to finish so we will see in the end. Here are some general pics of it done but I will post up some close ups later when I can get pics of the slotted holes, fender flares and fender liners. I have not wired up the fog lights or winch yet. I have some synthetic line and some IPF lights coming in and will just do all that at the same time.

I think it looks great man .... us louisiana boys are def gonna have unique rides that no one around these perts will have ... I think the ARB bumper with only get better and look more at home as your GX evolves ... the sliders we're gonna build for you soon are gonna look great with it ;)
... and that hitch my goodness that's a work of art :p

I now have someone else to feel the pain of adapting a Prado bumper to a GX :)

I told you it was tricky! It took me a month of tweaks to finally get it "just right" with my Iron Man.

Looks good though!

Thanks man! and yes the hitch will always be one of my favorite mods! Now I just need to get a bike rack that will fold all the way so I can open the rear hatch.

yes I feel your pain!!! Now that I have had a day to relax and just look at it I am a lot more comfortable with the fit and looks. I just need to get some door edge trim for the fender flares and figure out whether I want to fill in the gap between the bumper and grill.

Looks great with the arb! Whats next for it?

Thanks! Next will be some radflo adjustable coilovers to level it back out. Not sure whether to go with the 2" or 2.5". Which do you have @THeGeNTLeMaN ? And after that I want to get rid of the running boards but my fiancé uses them so I have to wait till I can get sliders put on.

Pretty sure they 2.5 ...

I actually mounted mine a LOT closer as I removed my flares and clearanced the bumper itself for the hood.

Hmm I might look into that... It bothers me I cannot mount the stone guard to the engine shield but I might be able to trim the bumper and pull it back in some. I will have to look at it tonight.

I am going with 2.5's on mine. I called Radflo and they said the 2.0's would work but would require more frequent care. I've also read on other forums (Toyota120 comes to mind) that the 2.0's can be noisy. Everybody seems to love the 2.5's.

MetalTech told me they will likely have them on sale on Cyber Monday, so I'll be ordering mine then.

Okay thanks for that bc I was going to go with the 2" so I will do some more research. I'm good friends with Kevin at Southern Style Speed so I will go through him when I do decide to purchase.

Yeah I want as much lift as possible but it's my wife's car and she has to take the baby in and out all day. But I'll still probably go with the 2.5"
2" / 2.5" refers to the diameter of the shock, not to the amount of lift. :)

 yeah we knew that ..... 2.5" = more volume which = more lift ... like hairspray in a ladies hair :slap:
The lift is controlled by the spring, not the shock - Radflo 2" and 2.5" coilovers are adjustable between 0-3" of lift.

Looks great with the ARB! Can you go into a bit more detail on the modifications you did to make it fit? Thanks!
