As you can see from all the scrubbing and painting, he's got a touch of O.C.D., but the end result will be impressive. Even if mine were not my DD and I had the luxury of taking my time, I doubt I would go to the extent he has with the little details.

The pump nossle is narrower for gasoline (look inside the filler neck how it tapers down on the FJ filler neck), you wouldn't fit a diesel nossel in there.

sway bar mounts
edic motor
battery j hook
vac pump hard line

Cleaned and armor-all'd:

shift boot
xfer boot
axle breather
bump stops
block heater cord

I'll install these "new parts" tomorrow.

Cleaned:
oem tools

I still need to clear coat the tools and clean the tool bag.

My tool kit is missing the Toyota adjustable wrench.....

It does have a spark plug socket,

which I should have given it to the buyer of the 3fe.

Bling Bling

I painted the bj60 "diesel" emblem and glued it to the 62 grill.

Gunnar added a couple of pulleys to my 3b pulley.

This required drilling and tapping 4 new holes.

The 2nd and 3rd pulley are from a Toyovan.


A speedi sleeve was also installed.

Autozone carries the speedi sleeve for the 3b.

The bj60 gas pedal and throttle linkage required drilling a hole in the 62 firewall.

Installing the bj tank in the 62:


I used new oem Toyota fuel lines and clamps from the tank to the fuel separator in the rear quarter.

I figured not too much fuel will passing thru these hoses, so I didn't opt for bio diesel specific hose.



I installed a new oem hose between the filler neck and the tank ( #7 )

I am not aware of a biodiesel specific replacement hose for this part.



The remaining fuel lines ,from the fuel tank pickup to the injector pump, have been replaced, with bio diesel specific Dayco Gen2 hose.

3 holes were drilled in the firewall to install the vacuum storage container.


Throttle linkage installed w/ oem boot.



Oil pan removed.

Frank will be welding on the turbo oil return bung to the pan.

I will give it a nice coat of paint while it is off.
