I mistakenly used a flange seal in between the tranny and case.

The front seal and the flange seal are about the same size

I need to order an additional seal to correct this mistake.

Luckily, I don't have far to back track. The case is still on the bench.

I will be ordering the parts from Gatorland Toyota in the morning.

I opened the case and checked the seal.

I had installed the correct seal......

better safe than sorry.

It was easy to double check since it was on the bench.

I used the flange seal on the pto hole of the tcase. (yellow circle)

Since I don't have a pto, the seal isn't need there.

Now I have the correct amount of seals again.

Gunnar measured my idle gear and realized it was .003 out of spec.

I need a 2 new thrush washers from Toyota to repair this.

I should have got them for the rebuild in the 1st place.

I also need a new paper gasket for in between the 2 piece case.

Form a gasket my friend, form a gasket.

But then again, if my t-case is leaking like I think it is, my advice is worth about what you would pay for it.

Yulp no seal there brotha...Just the one on the output cover. Get a new gasket for in between the case

How did the idler shaft look? Thats a normal one to replace while rebuilding the case. You look like you re-used it...

Form a gasket my friend.

Mr Toyoda used a gasket......new gasket ordered....

Altough very slim, the gasket acts as a shim.

With out a gasket, the case doesn't set correctly.

Hooray!

The t3 to ct26 adapter has arrived!

New oil lines/fittings also showed up.

I now have everything to turbo the 3b.

Gunnar dropped the 3b in tonight.

The fork lift makes the job alot easier.

The forklift was manufactured 12/30/1946......

Works like a champ!

Thanks Gunnar for installing the 3b.

Great metal working job Frank!

The motor mounts and transmission mount were welded PERFECTLY, the 3b fits like a glove.

Prior to reassembly, I ran a tap in all the bolt holes.

I used a liberal amount of anti seeze, just in case, I want do another motor swap in the future.

Note the bj clutch/brake pedal and transfer selector..... they look right at home in the 62!

Frank is creating a custom bj62 wiring harness.

I still have a "load" of work ahead of me. (pic 3)
