Probably a long shot, but if anyone has installed the M2V2 dash mount in their 98-02 Land Cruiser and wants to sell their original dash blank I would very much like to buy it! I have an LX and I want to drill a hole through this blank but I don't want to drill through the wood one. Would much prefer the black plastic in the Land Cruiser and I don's really have a need for the super strong mount that Ben sells (even though it is awesome). Just trying to keep my iPhone mini from sliding around.

Ben is this something you could do? Would be cool to have a few USB outlets and 3-4 rocker switch panels. I bet this would be a very popular product.

5.2 Introduction

The combo mount is modeled based on members' requests. Two pockets for rocker switches are added. The rocker switches are fully recessed to protect it from accidental activation.

5.3 Design and Fabrication

The rocker switches are tilted by 15 degrees for better visibility of the stickers. Space is added behind the blades for wire connections.

Ethernet Cable Extender Adapter

Ethernet Extension Cable (Up Angle)

For a smooth finish, you will need:

3M Bondo 801 Professional Glazing and Spot Putty, 3.0 oz.
Note: Dry sand only. The printing material will warp if exposed to excessive water.

Paint

Ben, are you using some kind of 3d scanner to get the surrounding geometry for your prints? I tried searching the thread but I may have missed it if you answered before.

The reason I ask is if you do have a scanner, I'd request some scans of the front end. I want to design a hidden winch mount I don't like what's currently out there as you generally have to remove the crash bar and they mount quite low.

Below is my initial design. Not sure if I want to go aluminum or steel, the weld shop at work can do either. Probably aluminum to save a bit of weight.

I just bought the m2v2 but have not installed. You can have my insert when I do it.

Was there something like this created to hold the scangauge but instead of the rocker switches there's a spot for a microphone? And a feature of a downward facing type of hole for an ambient light? In my old M5 they had these dim red ambient lights that just gave a little bit of light inside that were quite nice.
 
IS there an aftermarket tray to replace the drop in tray on a 2004 LC - the tray next to the CD/DVD player. Someone broke into my car and took the OEM tray with all my change in it.
