As for drawing air from the the space in the upper fender, some year Pigs had a real vent on the upper fender, others had a faux vent. I think that space draws air from the front of that upper fender, up by where the hood curves down.

this thought id resurrect this thread as progress on the pig has been slow but sure. obviously our climate here is much damper over the winter than oz and this revealed all the filler that had bridged any holes. loads of rot to cut out and replace.
