ASFIR 4x4 Skids are back

My factory skid has to be spaced down to clear the swaybar relocation brackets that go with the Fox coilovers. I used some random nuts to do so, but it's a pain in the arse when it is time for an oil change. Does the ASFIR front skid require spacers with the sway bar relocation brackets (if by chance you have them)? I would be worth the cost to just to get away from nuts going everywhere.

@kbahus here is a photo showing the clearance on the front sway bar.

Good for you but find it hard to believe you buy USA all day! :P It's not like this is a Chinese knock-off copy of a Safari snorkel. As far as I am aware these are created and developed by ASFIR and is a proven quality product.

@JLee and @Bluetribal: I see you both have recently ordered from Asfir, shipped from Israel? I was wondering if there are any additional customs fees or import taxes that had to be paid on your order, or was the only cost the amount you remitted to Asfir for the parts and shipping? @Bluetribal, have you asked Leonard S. for a new bracket?

My total cost was the parts/shipping amount due to Asfir.

Thank you.

Thanks! I am going to order their rear bumper wings for my 80.

None of the various skid plate designs have access holes to change the oil on the 2UZ, correct?

My RCI does and with a Fumto drain valve it’s very easy

The ASFIR skids have an opening as well for the drain plug as all should. The issue is the oil filter even if you could get it off with the front skid plate on it would make a mess all over the skid plate.
Yeah, that’s what I was wondering. I was curious to know if any of the designs would allow oil changes with the skid(s) in place like on a 100 series Land Cruiser. Small issue, but I hate having to remove everything on my GX, just to do routine maintenance

Paper towels, dealer took off my skid plate thinking it would be easier, but cross thread several bolts. I was pretty posed when I found out. Always tell them to use paper towels.

I don't take mine off for oil

I just change it as is and blow a can of parts cleaner through it and hit it with a pressure washer :P
