ASFIR 4x4 Skids are back

I had some ASFIR skids on my old LR4 and they held up great. Shipping really didn't take a long time either. No more than 2 weeks to get to the Southeast.

I think they're just a less expensive option. Even with $200 for international shipping, they are like $400 less than RCI's.

I see. With shipping the ASFIR set (front, transmission+transfer case) comes to $567. I bought my RCI ones through the installer and managed to avoid the shipping charges for $845. So it's about $268 cheaper. So a good deal.

But I'm happy to have bought from a "local" fabricator.

My skid plates came in today and it looks like the middle skid comes with a cross bar already. Dan did you find it to be too weak?

Yes, sorry for not posting. Now that you have it....added a gusset along the top to that bend to reinforce it.

Curious about the weight for the stock skids and the net gain with these gains.
