Replaced my plugs. 160k miles. I think these have around 50k miles on them but I can't remember for sure if I changed them since base lining. When I look at others plugs on the forum many of them seem to show stronger wear on the front cylinders and less wear on the rear cylinders. A

nyone know why? Here's how mine looked:

Picked up this tailgate hatch from Hurricane Fabrication. Way cool!

It comes with nice padding which was tricky to get stuck in place properly.

I'm able to fit almost all of this stuff in here!

Next up - rear door speakers

Original vs. New. I will have to cut the door a little to allow for the bigger magnet and use a small spacer but these are pretty shallow.

A buddy brought over his compression tester and air leak down kit. We tested compression with the engine cold, and then warmed up. I'm not sure what to make of the results but here they are:

Cold Engine (psi):
#1 149
#2 151
#3 89
#4 140
#5 155
#6 160

We were concerned about cylinder #3 but here's the test after warm up:
#1 150
#2 125 (very strange that this went down)
#3 150
#4 151
#5 155
#6 160

The air leak down test indicated that after 160k miles the engine has lost about 15%. Not sure how that translates to true power decrease. Please chime in if there is anything to learn here.

Also - I found this video to be very helpful:

Have you consulted the manual written by the engineers who designed your engine and designed the parameters of engine operation?

It’s pretty clear how your results match up with what the designers of the engine see as acceptable on the high or low end of engine performance.

:flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2: What I'm trying to understand is if there is anything to learn from the test variance of the #2 and #3 cylinders when comparing a cold engine to a warm one. 4 cylinders tested almost exactly the same when cold/warm. 2 cylinders changed significantly. The test would typically only be done to a warm engine and I'm trying to see if this change is an indicator of anything. Most likely it's not. The engine purrs like a kitten and I'm not worried about anything. Just here trying to learn as I go like most.

Metal expands with heat increase. Cold compression test result are worthless data. This is pretty well-known

Got rid of the RS3000 alarm. I’ve had water up to my seats once before and the alarm system went haywire and I couldn’t start the rig for an hour or so. It happened again so instead of risking it in the future I put in the several hours of misery to remove this.

Shed some extra weight. This should help with the mileage. Old amp and rear “subwoofer“ LOL. The amp is hidden behind the speaker next to the glovebox. I got rid of those speakers too.

Can u post a pic of the fob? Mine has it but no fob. There’s a aftermarket one laying I. The door when I picked it up.

Well after 10 years of ownership I'm about $34k in documented costs including purchase price, baselining, and tires. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of smaller items along the way but this is what I have receipts for. My purchase price sure does look cheap now!
