Any up-to-date info about PACOL?

Left a reply on Facebook. Not surprised to see a listing of others who have been left out in the cold.

After looking at their Facebook page, it appears as though they are supplying their body shop first and letting internet orders slide. Some parts that aren't available on the web site look to be used in their Facebook photos.

Not that it will help but Oskar is on mud, he's @zaskar_ofn but he hasn't logged in since 2013. Anyone who sells Land Cruiser parts and isn't active on Mud is suspicious IMO. Notice Mushro and Cruiser Solutions are not active.

It actually does help. Thanks for point that out. It is suspicious.
I just retired back in June, and I'm itching to get this vehicle back in my posession so that I can start giving it some loving. the parts from PACOL are the holdup.

I think I'll stop taking my ADHD / OCD medicine for a week or so, and will focus my attention on this company.

Thanks for the suggestion! This might work. I'll check with them tomorrow. According to their downloadable catalog, they do provide what I need.
Thanks again
Kevin
@kmanche Please report back to the forum if you buy from TROA. A quick search shows a lot of folks have asked about their quality and buying from them, but I didn't see where anyone had pulled the trigger and reported back to the collective. Good luck on getting resolution from PACOL. They're in my personal "never do business with" pile along with cruiser solutions, Mushro, AOE/Alex, and METRICTLC/Shane.

Will do. I've sent TROA a litany of questions to see if they are able to supply the parts and to try to gauge their level of committment.
It appears that there are more shady companies out there than those that are trustworthy. It's such a shame.

MUD Friends
I had a custom piece made a while back for my 40-45 project after months of excuses it was shipped. Upon arrival there was damage to it which in all fairness was adjusted $ wise and I repaired, However the tolerances weren't to my liking some measurements were 1/4-3/8 out so I cut all the spot welds and rebuilt it to more exacting measurements. It is a hack operation at this point and should not be patronized from previous dealings from myself and others. My words, don't deal with PACOL you will get burnt in the long run.

I would be curious myself what Kevin can made. I believe his limiting factor is time. I have one of his reproduction LWB tailgates and the workmanship is great. But watching the video on how he made them it might be a catch 22. He is making them off hours at the place he works at. He could probably find enough work to do it full time but guessing he would lose excess to the machines he uses to make the parts. While he would have more time he wouldn't have the machines needed.:meh:

If I need any parts he will be my first choice, he was great to work with. Prior to Kevin making tailgates Paul Pilgram in Costa Rica was suppose to be making them. I know least one person got ripped off not to mention everybody else who got cheated by him in other dealings. Kevin is in Canada and had no problem sending him funds. Not sure of any other business selling parts from out of the US I can say the same. Dealing with POCAL I would pay by Paypal but know the day I could cancel and get a refund ahead of time. Tracking number or not I would have to have the part in hand by the day or get a refund. I would let them know this ahead of time. If they say that can't met that schedule I won't order from them. Life is full of headaches I can't control without adding one I can. But I also live in the Southwest and usually can find what I need used locally.

I've sent @Awl_TEQ a PM earlier to see if he can provide the parts. Thanks for letting me that know that you endorse him too. Hopefully he will be able to help.
I live on the east coast (eastern North Carolina), and parts vehicles are not at all common in my area. If they are, they are in worse shape than what I have.

Parts are geting harder to find and we do have cruisers that have come from other parts of the country that are rust buckets. Really the easiest thing to do is buyone that doesn't need that much body work. I have a bunch of projects, the couple I have needing a rear sill replaced I doubt I'll ever get to.

Do you have still have the email address that was used to send the tracking number to you? Thanks
I DON'T MAN! I just tore my email apart and I've deleted all that info in an effort to forget!

A thread like this certainly makes a guy appreciate and eager to do business with the vendors who frequent this site.
