I currently have 285/70/17 KM2's on FJC wheels. I want to move up 35x12.5 tires. The FJC wheels are too narrow for 12.5" tires (7.5") and I have to run a 1" adapter to keep the DS from rubbing the TRE.

So I need new wheels. 15 or 17 width?

I can't find a stock 10x17 wheel (6x5.5) with less than 4.5" backspacing. I can find 10x15 wheels with 3.75" backspacing, but it seems like 15x12.5 off road tires are becoming a rare size.

Stockton Wheel quoted me $375/wheel for custom made 2 piece 10x17, so that's not happening.

Opinions please.

This is what I've gone with

You'll need your 1" spacers. They come primed light gray. i resprayed mine a darker grey
mounting 35 x 12.50 R15 BFG KM2's reason I didn't go with a 16" wheel is the $100.00 price jump for each tire.

12.5 wide tire:

8" wide wheel for the rocks
10" wide wheel for sand

I'm currently using 8" wide wheels on 10.5" wide tires and the sidewall bulges out a tad more than I like in the rocks. Good for sand though.

Seth, what's wrong with the 33s? Or do you just need a couple more inches?

End Result.

So tire/rim size???

Cost?

Seth, Discount tire has the 35x12.50x15" KO2's in stock..

I'm still searching for a 17x9 wheel with 3.5 BS. I like the way the 17" wheels look and I'm really trying to ditch the 1" adapters. So far only Summit has that spec but the wait time is 6 weeks. Stockton Wheel can custom make a that wheel for about $200. $200 is better than $375 for a 10" but it's still expensive.
