One last questions hahah... What is the part number/price for the sliders and also the latch for the drawers (which I would guess you got from them too?)

The latches are 64-10-301-90 by Southco and they're about $25 @
The slides are 9301 Accurides 36" I think (it's been so long since I ordered them) They were about $100 a pair but I got a pretty good deal on them.

Awesome work once again.

Keep us posted with pix and info as you build the front section that would be great.

Don't suppose you wanna build another set for me:rolleyes:

Thanks, I will and unfortunately, this is pretty much going to be one time deal for me:D

Almost forgot to post up some current pics. So far I'm really happy with how it's turned out but I still have the forward section to do. Here's a couple of pics right after I got back from CM07:

Way to bring it back. I recall this thread from earlier, but had forgot all about it. It turned out sweet! The Line-X looks outstanding. How is it holding up? And if this is too nosy just tell me to p*** off. What was the ball park cost? And how many hours/days/weeks of your time, give or take? Nothing exact just off the top of your head. Looks great.

Not real sure how you could improve on the looks of those, look better then the African Outback ones to me.

Thanks guys, I think I've got about $ 850 into it as well as 40-50 hours of my time. It definately could've been built faster but I spend alot of time on the small details. So far other than being a litle dusty, It's holding up great, not so much as a squeak or rattle at Moab.

could someone measure the width of their drawer system?
I'm probably about to buy a 80 and I'm wondering if the drawers in my 60 can be passed over... I guess I can just measure when I go to look.... but it's nice to waste time thinking about it :)

This is the finest crafted drawer setup I can recall, including the African outback.

Great work. Well planned and nice details. Keep us posted on the forward section. You could probably make a little dough on the plans for that one. You should think about tracing some templates.

wow! those drawers look great! very nice attention to detail. this is going to my next mod. thanks for the great pics and excellent idea! mine will be a little different and much cheaper looking.

Love it, wish I could build **** a bit better.

HaHa...me too! That is some really nice craftsmanship there...keep the progress comin'. May your skills will rub off on some of us through osmosis:D

619TOY,

Really enjoyed the thread. Short of you building my drawer system, have you ever posted the dimensions of the wood you cut?

Those of us that covet your build, even if we don't have your skills, at least we could benefit from your thinking this through.

A cut list & a BOM, then we could combine your brains with our skills. We may poke our eye out reading the tape measure, but and at least not hurt our brains !!!

wow, the finished drawers do look great.

Folowing up to my last post- I did buy the 80. And as it turns out, the drawer from my 60 will fit. In case anyone was wondering.

Now, another question: Anyone out there running just one drawer, on one side?
I've been thinking it would leave more room for a fridge/cooler/dog... but don't want to hack up the drawer I've already got without some feedback.

Back to the thread: 619Toy, can you take some pics showing what you did with the areas behind the wheel wells? Looking for ideas...

Looks great! I had to use something behind the middle row seats. I used a structure on both sides that covers the fenderwells. Between them, I placed a tabletop that is captive. It has leg sockets on the bottom. It slides like a drawer. When pulled out the legs fit and I can eat lunch on a 40" square table! The table top keeps two under-bed Rubbermaid bins captive. One holds tools, the other holds comforts such as folding chairs, CB, etc. The bins are disposible when they crack, though they haven't yet. If they fail, I just get new ones. The cavities on both sides hold coolant, oil, brake fluid, PS fluid, and table legs. Oh, and leather gloves for the winch.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. When I first started this project, I thought that most people wouldn't be interested in too many aspects of it. I just wanted to document what I was doing to hopefully help provide some ideas for others to pick and choose anything that they liked.
Keep us posted on the forward section. You should think about tracing some templates.

I have to admit that I've been pretty lazy on this project. I've just been using my center seats as a platform for my air mattress even though I have alot of the pieces for the forward section cut and ready to assemble.

so is the top surface of your system all just above the wheel well?

that is-- it looks like you made it flat, over the wheel. Did you rest the board right above it, or come up further?

Looks great, by the way.

Yes, the top board rests somewhere between right on and 1/4" above the top of the wheelwells. Most people prefer drawers that are a little taller, so they hold more stuff. I really wanted to keep as much "headroom" for removable items and for sleeping.
