Those of you that were at the Xmas party know about Josh Jones and his daughter Libby Jones.

I'd been wanting to do something for Josh for a while but with my impending move (that never happened) I didn't have much time to think about it.

Then I ended up not moving and came up with an idea.

I knew Josh was looking for a Gaucho for his daughter for a while and I had just bought one that I was intending to refurb for my new nephew. I wanted to give it as an xmas gift to Libby but I wanted it to be nice looking and working as I didn't want Josh to have to worry about working on it himself.

I talked to the BOD last week and said i'd donate the gaucho and do all the work if the club would like to financially back a project like that. It was done in secret mainly because we didn't want it getting back to Josh what we were planning and how Jason Free had done something similar for Rice's son earlier in the year had inspired me. The plan was for me to fix it and drop it off at their house 4am on xmas. Had a small snag when the parts were actually ordered as I started a new job and have worked 12 hours shifts due to holiday rush every day since last wednesday, when I received the parts. Also I couldn't post it on this part of the ONSC forum and hope for it to stay secret.

I did almost all the work late at night on Monday and Tuesday and delivered it this morning nice an early.

Many of you saw the pics on facebook earlier and I had wanted to make a post on here first but my phone is a windows phone and woody never made an app for it so I had to wait till I had access to a computer to put pics on here.

I wish I had come up with this earlier in the month to let everyone know about the plan but it happened very fast to get it done on time with only about 9 days from conception to actually completing it.

Things like this are why I love this club. There is so much well meaning and charity in it (hell we even have someone named charity as a member) and those are the number one reason it is the greatest club ever.

I don't have too many pics... just a before and after as well as a loaded for delivery pic.

No, as far as i'm concerned this was a ONSC effort as a whole since club funds were used even though everyone wasn't aware of it. Please don't thank me for it, I should be thanking ONSC for giving life to my idea as I wasn't able to do it all on my own.

Only reason I mentioned my time constraints was to illustrate why I didn't have the time to email every member to bring them in to the know. But at the same time I knew everybody would be on board with this either way.

I just want to wish everyone Merry Christmas from our family to yours. As you can imagine, since march 27th of this year life has been hard. That was the day our 2 and 1/2 yr old Libby was diagnosed with leukemia. The one thing that has made a difference in helping us put one foot in front of the other has been the humbling and amazing support from people in so many different parts of our lives.

This is a true testament of who makes up ONSC. I know some of you well, some I've only met once or twice and others I only know on the forum but I hope to meet you soon. I tell everyone that the folks that this club has are the most genuine, high integrity, family oriented group I've been a part of as a whole.

What you guys all chipped in and did to make this happen for Libby was so cool and special. I might've cried and been more excited than she was when she said "hey, is there something for me in the front yard?"

Our faith and our belief that her cure is out there has not waivered but is continually tested. We try to be LIBStrong everyday and thru that believe we will take in each day with the most positive outlook we can and find her cure and our miracle.

Libby loves riding in the land cruisers with me, whether its in the neighborhood in the 40 or up to Krispy Kreme in the 80! I can't wait to see all of you out on the trail again with Libby as the co pilot!

Happy holidays from the jones family!

Josh,
All of ONSC is glad to be able to do something as small as this in order to bring a little cheer in a time when your focus is in other places. You keep strong, so you can keep your family strong. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you, and we'll look forward to you and your family's return to camping and wheeling with us...

Seriously the best group of people around...

Al you truly are the man, in the every sense of the word.

Josh we will be thinking about you and the family, please let us know what we can do to help.

Brett

Al, you rock for starting the idea, donating the gaucho-didn't know that is what they are called, and seeing the project through.
It is things like this that will keep me renewing my membership w ONSC regardless of where Mary & I live.

I have never seen a group of people so generous, and heart warming in my lifetime, though I am only 15.. It's the little things that make the biggest impacts, I'm so thankful that I'm able to be a part of such a remarkable bunch of people. ONSC without a doubt is the best club there is! All of us are staying Lib Strong with miss Libby!

Thank you Al for taking a busy holiday time out for this and everyone else who made it happen!

Josh, I hope you and Barb will take and post pictures of Libby driving the Gaucho. I really want to see her driving it while in that elf costume.

I remember you telling me months ago about how Libby wanted a pink LC. I wonder if when she looks at it she sees this:

Great work guys! I hope Lib has fun in the Gaucho and I pray that she beats the leukemia.

Wish I had heard about this before now. I hate that you and your family are having to go through this tough time Josh. Your daughter and your entire family will be in my prayers. Great job to Al and everyone who had a part in this.

Josh, I've been watching from FB for a while without a clue of how to reach out to you. As a guy with no children, I have zero clue how anyone can be as strong as you and your family have been through this. It's good to see just how many people you have in your corner, and Al came through with an expression from the ONSC family to let you know we are too! Hope Libby had an awesome Christmas and can't wait to see her Crusin' in the Pink Cruiser! Hope to see you soon, but until then please let us know if there is anything we can do individually, or collectively as a Club.

LibStrong!!
