My wife hit one a few months ago...totaled her Mercedes and fractured her collar bone. I seriously doubt they work, but we added these to all of our vehicles.
Amazon product ASIN B08B81KVJPProbably snake oil but what can I say, I'm a sucker.
My grandfather put these on every car in the family as I was growing up and we lived in heavy deer country. Most everyone had stories of hitting a deer except us.

I’ve put them on all my vehicles and the deer seem to perk up when I pass them.

And that’s all I’m going to say about that…

Well, that does $uck. Fender looks unscathed. Trying to rememberize, 4plus front bumper? Think you can persuade the bumper to resume its original attitude?

I’ll Bring the youngest. He’s the only one with a deer on the ground this year.

Hey could have been much worse, fender is still alive!

Looks like the only damage was to the main bumper, the 4plus deer kicker did it’s job perfectly, not even bent the slightest. Most of the impact was squarely on the bumper, then onwards to both drivers side tires. I think the 4plus grill guard cleared the deers head from hitting the fender, the bumper looked to have caught it right in the kill zone.

Then the bastard jumped up and ran back into the field it came out of!! I’ll probably see it 50 yards off the road tonight.

I eliminated one year before last in the Tundra. 70+ MPH hauling my SXS. No option to slow down. Squirted the test subject out the back for about 50yds. Truck smelled like deer @$$ for a couple of weeks. Only damage was a crack in the honey comb grill and a unidentified piece of bone in the front bumper.

I left the bone in as a talisman. Big medicine. 🦌

Spent the day up at the mountain for a ski clinic for my daughter. Tested the BFG's out a little.

@micruz60 Keep dancing, it's working.

I'm using this vinyl floor mat the the big orange box store. The price was fair enough to try, worst case I toss it and move along in life, best case it actually helps reduce noise and keep a little extra heat in the cab.
What is the early verdict for heat retention and noise reduction? If I missed it, apologies.

Significant reduction of road noise, and sound from rocks impacting the body. As far as the heat retention I'd say there is a decent improvement, nothing like a modern vehicle, but definitely better than a sheet of #16 gauge metal.

After a few more cold trips up the mountain we'll see how it really does, especially when it's below zero.

Tech info from a conversation.

Real world numbers from this morning.

12.1vdc engine off
12.5 vdc low idle, no lights
14.1 vdc @1K rpm, and @2k rpm, no lights.
Lights on @ idle, voltage started @12.5 vdc, dropped to 11.7 vdc and held steady. Ammeter is in the negative territory.
Lights on @1,500 rpm, 12.9 vdc, slowly climbing, ammeter is in the positive territory.

I dug out a clamp meter that is good for DC amperage, it's a solid 9amps of current on the positive lead that supplies the new lights.

@1,500 rpm that went up to 9.5 amps.

All @ 50F in the garage.

#1 winter rule, thou shall spread thy Fluid Film deep into all crevices and cavities, paying special attention to seams and lap joints.

3 cans later I took a trip up to the grocery store, a few miles up the road the heater fuse blew. Dammit, no heat and freezing fog sucked.

I messed around with it yesterday evening, couldn't find anything obvious, had 28-30 ohms of resistance to ground, looked good.

Drove it down the driveway this morning and the fuse blew again.
