Well, at least you’re not here. Photo op from the “way back machine”.

Monstaliner repair kit ordered this morning, solid customer service, they said it would ship today.

My daughter also got a job as a ski instructor for little kids (aka ski slope babysitter) down at the local hill. Saturdays and Sundays all season, guess who's going to ski a boatload this year!

Another reason I'm trying to get the 40 weatherproofed before winter gets (got) here.

Snowbowl or Marshal? I may have been a lifty at Marshall in a past life in a galaxy far far away…

It's the little things that piss me off.

I bought the oil pan drain plug thinking it came with the gasket included, I guess after one number gets superseded by another number parts get deleted as well.

Oh well, I probably didn't pay attention to the details when I was ordering it.

At least I got some new wiper blades for the season. It amazes me that parts like these are still readily available for a reasonable price.

Send you one in the Post if I can find it. I bought spares. They are in one of three storage blds. Should be easy to find……….🙄

Yup, oil pan drain.

I guess next time I make an online order I should add 5 or 6 to the mix.

I saw the part number listed when I was searching for the plug, but thought to myself "Dude, this is 2023, Toyota doesn't hardly sell bolts without washers pressed on, surely the drain plug has a seal."

I'll be damned.

I thought I was getting low in my stash so I of course over ordered more. I keep all my drain/fill plug gaskets/o-rings on a round binder clip or twist tie in the glove of all my vehicles-that way I always know were they are. Truth be told I need to inventory my stuff as I keep buying duplicates of stuff. :bang:

The (small town) dealer closest to me gives me a handful of those for free if I ever ask for some. They're good to have on hand.

I'm not 100% sure that my local Toyota dealer even knows that a 40 is a Toyota!

Now comes ski season. Still running to ground a mini vaca to a small slope. Mid Jan through Mar may be my window of opportunity..
