I see @jvalex is slumming again in the 40 section!

Can’t have you running around with faded lenses. If they get to me before Spring Break, i’ll get them right back out on their way to you.
That would be awesome! Thank you!

No section in particular; just admiring all the things.
I do that in other threads, one with all the wonders of the world.

Looks like I'm SOL for a couple of weeks, the wheel bearing kits at @cruiseroutfit are waiting on some parts before being restocked. I guess that gives me time to do some other stuff. That's what I get for trying to reuse parts all the time!

While that is going on I am also knocking out a knuckle rebuild.
As soon as I'm cleared by the Doc (rotator cuff last Dec), I'll be doing a knuckle rebuild myself. You make it look like a 1.5 banana job... I'd better just grab a full bunch... lol

Does Valley Hybrids have any in stock? Worst Case, Summit Racing might have Trail Gear in kits.

Crap, I'd better get on a waitlist or something...

I can taste my "cold snack" now, listening to that rainbow sizzle in the pan...🎣

Did noticed a tell-tale weep on the back side of my front right. I know its coming but I'm holding off.

Just out of curiosity, how many miles in between the last rebuild?

It's not really a hard job, just messy as can be.

Having an extra set of hands yhat has rebuilt a front axle before would be extremely helpful.

I've been looking around at other vendors, even the OEM places, I'll see what is available. A few places would put me around $200 shipped, I'm not in that kind of hurry.

Realistically there's 18k since the last rebuild, I only dug into it because I have the centering tool in my hands in preparation to help someone else out with his front axle soon.

I did have some weeping on the knuckles but surprisingly there wasn't any gear oil in the birf. It did look like the drivers side knuckle had some problems. Like maybe it got a little hot at some point. Smelled funny also.

I'm not really sure about this, it is from the upper driver's side of the knuckle. I can't really say it happened during disassembly or was there prior, there wasn't any play in the front end, on jackstands or on the ground, everything felt tight.

Lower drivers side, looks like it got hot at some point. Strange.

Understood... Now to find someone that wants to drink 🍺🍻🍺 and give directions (good ones), that isn't my :princess:... in NoCO... lol
