Chungas Revenge
SILVER Star
AHHH, page 50, all was revealed. AND I was groovin' to the nod to FZ. "with a pair of heavy-duty zircon encrusted tweezers in my hand, every other wrangler would say I was mighty grand"...

I don’t know about Twin Falls but we’ll be down in Idaho Falls in a month or so. I also booked a cabin on the St. Joe at the end of June for 3 days, not really in your neck of the woods though. I’ll be cruising around in the 40 looking for fish!Da Puc!!!
I remember reading back on post #341 something about “blasphemy” when an aluminum tub was suggested. My heart sank a little when I saw the cancer has returned to your rig. During my rebuild I couldn’t stand the thought of a repeat battle with the red devil so I went with the Aqualu, and galvanized the frame. Still the best decision I made IMHO.
Our stories follow a similar path. Originally from the Spokane area but was living in Houston the last 9 years. Rebuilding a 40 by myself, with city living sucking my soul out. Finally decided enough was enough. Money is no substitute for happiness. My girls needed to know there is more to life than the mall and concrete. Knew I needed to get back to the northwest before I lost my soul. Left a great job behind that paid many gold coins. No regrets. None. Found work in Idaho and me and the family couldn’t be happier. Should’ve done it sooner.
If you’re ever in the neighborhood of Twin Falls, let me know and we can go harass the local fishes in our 40s
Looks like I would have lost that wager on a beer, we have over 12” in the last 24 hours with more still falling! I’ll try to get some pics later. The view from the front porch a couple of nights ago.
They're calling for a significant snow storm this week, i keep hearing numbers that range from 4"-8" up to 18"-24".
I'd wager a beer that we get less than 6".

Unfortunately my 40 is more or less parked for the season. Haven’t been able to source front doors in any sort of reasonable condition to restore, so she’s topless. The ones I took off don’t hold a magnet until above the handle and they’re about 90lbs a piece. Pretty sure the PO used cement and rebar as a filler so they’re a complete lost cause short of scavenging the hardware.I don’t know about Twin Falls but we’ll be down in Idaho Falls in a month or so. If you haven’t fished The Joe yet, you’re in for a real treat! Used to wander down there when I lived in Spokane. Definitely going to be spending time up there this year.I don’t know about Twin Falls but we’ll be down in Idaho Falls in a month or so. We’ve gotten about 2’ since Christmas here in the Magic Valley. I flew over the Sawtooths and Frank Church the other day and they have some of the best Dec/Jan snowpack I’ve seen in years. Hopefully that bodes well for a good water year on the Joe and Salmon.@samatulich ever fished the St. Joe around the end of June?
Soon!I wish we’d get some.
The Lake is open, we are in January, as soon as the wind hits us right ours will be measured in feet and not inches. …and probably in April.Soon!
I just noticed the SNOTEL sites in the region have had a huge bump in the last couple of weeks, most are hovering around the 100% mark for this time of the year, with exception of some of the upper Missouri River basins. We’ve gotten about 2’ since Christmas here in the Magic Valley. No. My trips have all taken place in the early part of September or late October. I'm sure late June will be productive. Guessing the water could be high that time of year, nymphs and leeches would be what I tied on first. The Joe is one of my favorites to fish, its a good size stream, with robust, healthy trout.@samatulich ever fished the St. Joe around the end of June?
If you need some grub and a cold one up in that area, TFP's in Avery is a great spot! Good pizzas (chicken too, I think), good people, nice place.No. My trips have all taken place in the early part of September or late October. I'm sure late June will be productive.
