I also got a new 40 for Christmas from my wife!

We need more cowbell.

Out of curiosity, what does the words "out west" mean to you? You live in Maryland, west is Pennsylvania.... or Maine.... or... wait, don't care... just curious as to the definition.

Montana. Around Missoula.

I have been trying to get the fuel tank well/passenger floor pan prepped to get welded in. That rustproof crap they put on back in the day is still coating it in places, it has been cut to fit for the most part, just need to get it to bare metal.

Also picked up some seats from a BMW 328is, full power, heat, leather, F'n bad A##. Smoking deal on CL.

Had a good helper last night!

I have found a couple small things that need work on them, but at $175 for the pair there is absolutely no reason to complain.

Good luck on your interview.

Thanks!

The plot thickens on this one, I am up for a possible "promotion" where I am now, big money, big headache, or go west and live a better life, for a few dollars less an hour.

MT or MD, no braniner in my mind, but I have a family to consider as well. I have always felt like a piece of a puzzle being put into the wrong puzzle here in MD, out west I felt more at home, like I was supposed to be there.

Thanks!

My take on that has to do with a subconscious revulsion to an environment full of artifice, and an equally strong attraction to an environment that seems more natural. It is part of the same dynamo hum that helped me leave the practice of law for auto mechanics and home improvement almost 30 years ago.

Ultimately, I know all our constructs are nothing more than constructs. But our delusions are what help us sleep better at night.

Thanks!

Coincidentally my wife asked me last week if I would move to MT. She is only able to work in certain states due to licensing and MT is considering making a license available.

If my wife asked me to move to MT, I would call a realtor before she finished the question!

Something I learned a long time ago, enjoying what you do is worth much more than a lot of money. Money, and peace of mind, don't always go hand in hand. Often the environment (lack of quality for family life) and the big money go together.

I scored a major piece of the puzzle today, a non-US spec 2F air cleaner assembly! This one fixes one of the biggest headaches I was having with the air filter solution.
