Hi, I m new to the forum. I was gifted a 2005 lx470 from a family friend and has been my daily driver for about an year. Recently, I got the AHC off light blinking, so I opened up the hood to check the fluid level. It have enough fluid, but I found those wires in a really bad shape. Anyone know what does those wires do and is it related to the AHC?

I would not drive that truck another foot until I disconnected the battery and peeled those wires apart so that they don't risk touching. Whether they have anything to do with AHC is secondary to them shorting and frying something. The factory wiring diagram (~$50 on eBay for printed, or get online from Toyota) would be very helpful here.

Rodents! Looks like, FL height sensor wire. Disconnect negative post of battery, while you splice wires. You could jump first, to see what happens.
