Doesn’t look like success but it is. Blower evap module out. Cleaning it up, fresh seals, orings, new heater mix servo system. Found evaporator just about to go. Also found the ECU immobilizer widget. Tucked behind evap core between evap core and firewall. Hard to get at as it should be.

I know what Japanese hands can do. Loose enough flesh and you have Japanese hands.

Invested in one of these. Power probe. Should have done it sooner.

Not that I ever really have issues with electrical gremlins, but if I carried something like that it would almost guarantee I would never need it. 🤔

@regretful, curious about your mud handle name.

@regretful, curious about your mud handle name.
Well, I've been a Toyota guy since '73 when my dad bought me a 67 Corona so I could drive my sisters around. I grew up in the desert and a good handful of friends all had fj40s and I new I needed one too. Twenty years later, living in SW Colorado I finally got one. Weekend drives were the roads from Durango to Ouray. I did my best to keep it running but I knew it needed an engine rebuild that I couldn't do and couldn't afford to have done so I sold it. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb. So when I joined Mud, I was cruiserless and saw the prices of 40s and was regretful. Hence the handle. I've since picked up a 60 and a lot more skills to keep it alive but still look at 40s and remember some a whole different life.

Oh, I left Colorado and in a very round about way, (India, Singapore, Seattle) ended up in Austin. I miss country living.
