My dad misspoke, the cap on the swb had a tree fall on it a few years ago. Scott built a new drip rail for it and corrected and smoothed out some of the damaged areas. However, he is one of the most talented metal fabricators I have seen. He owns a cruiser restoration shop in Lincoln City Oregon. When we visited, there was another swb in his shop that he built the entire bed assembly for. I wouldn’t put it past him to build a metal top cap from scratch, but at the moment he is pretty swamped with customer builds. Here’s the Link to his website.

Yea he has a ton of parts. Not for sale. Only for his builds. Bring your 401k for his kind of work. Their is a price for his approach.

Had this for a while. Finally soaked it diesel, greased it and mounted it on the work table. This is an awesome tool to remove and install tie rod ends.

Also got this from TMR to help with front end alignment on the rigs.

All the air tools got swallowed into this legit drawers. Heavy duty. Compact. Still have room @Broski

So @Cowboy45 is doing his thing with the first customer gig the eleves are doing as mentioned earlier. He tore down the front drums in prep for disc brakes. He also got the rear drum refresh done. He is anal. He does like to paint things before they go back on. I like it. I forget he is 16 years old. . He did it the right way.

Refurbed rear, new shoes, new cylinders, hardware. Red dots show my QC of his work. An extra step to confirm for us both that it is right. Added anti-sieze and moly grease on the adjuster to make adjustment easier in the future. He is a believer in wire wheeling all components before they go back on.

More on this later, but a new cruiser will join the family. @dogfishlake has carefully packaged it for the trip. I am happy he is a steward in transporting it to us. He has done a great job. He is also providing an FJ60 front axle to help with disc brake conversion on the truck @Cowboy45 is working on. He gets here in a couple of days with the new family member. Taking the torch from @Ocho77. We will take care of it.

It’s spring break at the barn. The fam Is here together. People and cruisers. It’s a good time. Weather was nice, sunsets to boot.

Looks like you have enough room to extend the shop if needed.
Make a clean shop for rebuilding and keep part of the old as dirty shop for tearing apart and cleaning.
And you need a showroom for the “new” Elf Cruisers that are finished.

Going to try out this new tool. Measures and dials in camber. Shown on the rear semi float for concept only (does not require it). Place on front rotors and dial in tie-rods to desired amount.

For a 100 series or other IFS truck? Tie rods adjust toe in or out, not camber. You can adjust the caster with shims.

Got tired grinders on the work table. Had some scrap metal from a fence. Got it to work.

Beef stew. Diesel/ATF. Croc pot on high. 20 mins. Cleans bolts great. 5gal pail of TEQ bolts getting this treatment and then in bolt tray organizer. Good grease and grime remover. Easier to wire wheel before use. Throw a load on while working on the barn.

Vice got good use doing tie-rods on customer rig. So much easier than on the regular vice. Gorilla grip.
