I do need to say thank you to everyone who has ordered my bracket kit. They have been the most successful product offering for my business by a long shot.

it worked very well for me. Now I need to finish the rest of the swap.

What is that black bracket and secondary bushing-looking thing ?

Basically this part of the original mount we bought. Just using it rather than starting with fresh plate. I've since cut off the pipe portion and am just using the plate with the mounting holes.

I just had a realization of a new direction to go with my mount.

Back to the original orientation of the factory mount, but slide it down the block towards the oil pan. Just make a flat plate to offset the mount enough to get the lower part of it inside the frame rails. Then build out the support from there.

Those look like 07 and up truck mounts, The Gen 3 LS 99-06 truck mounts are a little narrower when installed. and are without the guide pins.

Has anyone used a Dakota digital tach signal box lately with the blue tooth set up. I’m able to connect via blue tooth, and I set up saying 8 in and 6 out. Which may or may not be what I have set in the gm pcm. Regardless I can’t get a test signal to work using norm or high voltage. Curious what wire you tapped into to get the tach input. I tried the black wire at the igniter plug, and black wire at connector IH1 behind glove box. Pin 4 I think. No luck either pin. Not sure if by removing the motor it removed a splice point. Im about to pull the cluster. Just wanted to see if anyone else had done it recently.

Here's camaro LS mounts for $9.53. That 3/8" plate you cut up costs more than that.

Well, the mounts I have are already paid for.

And fabrication is nothing new to me, I've got the ability.

These do look good, but they're nothing I can't make. Heck, I'm almost there.

Not to be argumentative, but he sells a weld on bracket kit, as pictured. Perhaps he includes installation instructions, but I don't see "a whole lot of other fab work" in his installation pictures, or anyone else's.

But, while we're on the subject and in the desire to add knowledge, is see his brackets also offset the engine to the left. I've never seen an explanation of why this is done. Is it for front driveshaft clearance? I can certainly see it with the stock setup and offset rear output, but doing so makes the rear angle slightly worse with a center output transfer case

99% of swaps are not using a center output rear transfer case like you are, they're using the LC T-case so these brackets keep the same engine offset as the 3FE/1FZ.

Additionally, you are still going to want it to the left for front driveshaft to trans pan clearance. It gets really close there since land Cruiser axles aren't very wide. I think your Atlas is a only a touch wider then a Cruiser case so it will probably still be a bit of an issue.

No installation instructions, but they are super straightforwards for most installers using a 4l60 which already located everything front to rear. If you are experienced with engine swaps they are VERY straightforwards. Yes, full-length frame plates are included.

Is your cruiser a Found Art Project or an investment?

"Fab skills" might be a relative term? I would describe someone as a skilled fabricator when they can build excavator buckets from scratch or correctly replace the end on a hydraulic cylinder rod. Their personal fab projects have a style to them. Like a methodical flow with a theme and everything has a very high functional value as well as nailing the aesthetic.

That's "Fab Skills".

Mounting an engine with random found bits with disregard for aesthetic might fall outside that category from some folk's perspective.

I meant if you just base a build off the parts you have laying around it can take the level of your project down. That's what I meant by "found art project".
