likely ill have an 4l80e to h2fa adapater for sale this spring, im going to ditch for an NWF black box, so if any of my canadian friends are interested hit me up!
Nice! Very curious how that works out and if their recent changes have helped it stay cool. Are you doing anything extra for cooling, or just leaving it as is?

Damn it! I just received mine from Marks last friday, wont need it until next winter, was just planning ahead.

im going to still run an oil pump and a cooler, hard to justify not when it costs like 10% of the unit itself

Is it worth the extra 100 bucks for the ceramic coated Hooker manifolds?

Hey guys! not sure if this thread is still rolling or not, but i was hoping someone could give a hand. i have a 96 lx450 that im swapping a lq4/4l80e into. ive gotten most of the build done just by reading on here, but the main issue i have is the wiring. ive removed all the wiring that goes to the engine ecu, and im just left with il1 and il2. does anyone have a pinnout for what to remove and what stays? im also having issues with my lockers not working now, just a blinking light. i understand most of the sensors and getting the ac to work, im mainly most when it comes to what i connect to the ls and vise versa.

Thanks!

Vortec Swap - Pin Out Sheets

I used this and the FWD to do my IH1/IH2

Everyone has different setups so I wouldn't try to replicate anyones build wire for wire. I used stock fuel system wiring. Essentially, the circuit open relay acts like a normal fuel pump relay. The actual fuel pump relay only changes the relative speed of the fuel pump. You can either take out both the circuit open relay and the fuel pump relays or reverse the polarities of the relays so it defaults to the wire without the resistor.

Go to page 65 of this https://static1.squarespace.com/sta...442806549877/1996+Toyota+Land+Cruiser+EWD.pdf

You don't need the Toyota ECU, you can use the E7 plug but it isn't necessary since most circuits are available from IH1/IH2.

Honestly there is no replacement for reading the factory wiring diagram. I'd recommend just searching the PDF for the functions you are trying to wire. Wiring is different in the earlier 80's so make sure you are using a wiring diagram from your model year.

when you went through your harness do you remember how much of the wiring you pulled from IH1/IH2? Im going to look over that pdf tonight and see what i can figure out. This e7 plug your referring to, where exactly is it located?

there is a black and red wire that plugs into the starter. i assume this is the signal to turn the starter over. I tried turning the key over, but i never got voltage to that wire? i have some other connectors im not sure of, think you could help?
( my vehicle had the engine harness removed when i purchased it, so im a bit unsure where some of the connectors go.)

I

is this a positive or ground? I’m unsure where this wire goes?

4.
One more I’m not sure where it goes. I don’t have a plug that goes to it, however it looks like a heavy gauge power power (white/red)
