How did you guys convert fuel lines to AN? I can't find metric to AN adapters anywhere :bang:
For adapting to the factory hardline? Personally, I tore all the old out and made system from scratch. Post up what you need and I will look.

rip the old fuel lines out, run new AN lines from the pump to a regulator, I mounted mine up on the frame near the t-case, than your return line is short too

the adapter fitting from the banjo to an was like 12 bucks if I remember correctly

Do i need a fox body oil pan if i'm running a 3 link and crossover steering like a mini truck? 4" lift.
Also are y'all running the stock shifter with the push button for OD or did you switch to the early 80 series shifter with the 4 positions.

Most people go to the 4 position shifter. When TLC built Joe Rogan's 80 they used the 3 position and the push button for overdrive. I don't know how they did the push button for overdrive, I never researched it. If your using a front tie rod steering setup then you would definitely have more oil pan options.

Looking into doing the EVO valve delete on the 5.3 power steering pump. Anyone done this?

Push button overdrive is a function in the GM Connect & Cruise (and guessing EROD, which is what they would have used) system with the separate transmission controller. There’s an wire for a ground signal that you can run to the switch on the shifter.

Don’t know if it is available if using a Gen III or IV factor setup.

(edited) AC question here. Is there a reason that the AC receiver canister needs to sit alongside the condenser, hanging there behind the front bumper? It's the lowest point in the system, so I assume it needs to be.
If not, as long as I'm relocating AC lines to clear the LS passenger side head, why not relocate the receiver to the firewall?

Seems like maybe it doesn't matter. Don't know why it's in such a strange place on the 80 if so.

if you are wheeling, 100% i would if you can! Ive ripped 2 or 3 of those bad boys off while wheeling hahahahaha, that said reducing the amount of piping will change the amount of refridgerant you have and may or may not need to be efficient

I‘m going from memory here, and it’s been a while, but I believe the trick is to source AC lines and the drier from the earlier 90-92 80 series. This places the drier higher up alongside the DS battery.

I think that will be any of the trucks than run R12, like my '93.

Getting ready to roll. It’s A journey and I’m anxious to see where it takes me. Aka “Meatball”.

In regard to drier placement. You'll be using a GM compressor, most likely in a different location. So new lines will be in order in any case. Make a bracket and locate the drier where it works for you, then make the lines fit your layout. No need to retain the existing hard lines.

Picked up my new drivetrain on Sunday. 5.3 and l460e from a 05 Sierra

Since there are 98 pages of info here and since I'm new to this thread and since I'm really just looking for a specific piece of information at the moment... Can someone tell me if installing a 5.7 iForce has been discussed here and what the viability is? (it's been a long-time dream of mine and puts a smile on my face) Thanks!

You might find a sliver of iForce advice/help in these 98 pages but most of it is LS based info
